... but what does that have to do with the discussion at hand? O.o
Well, there isn't that many things that you can do in CoD that can be called skillful. =/
Most of it is luck, but amusing luck at least.
Most modern games don't have much room for creativity. =(
Shadow of the Colossus and Dear Esther are the two names that come at the top in my mind when I think of art in games.
Because you touch yourself at night? Because Chuck Norris said so? ... I'm all out. =(
> Fans hype game.
> IGN doesn't give it 10/10
> Fans rage and call IGN biased
> Fans hype next game.
Keep the process rolling guys. There's obviously a hidden agenda against you.
^ Screw graphics.
Only reason I prefer PC gaming is the mods. Some mods such as TheCube for fallout3 or DearEsther for source have more heart and soul than most full retail games.
That's usually the problem with most articles like these.
Although they do list the advantages of owning a console, they seem to be written by someone who doesn't know much about PC gaming aside from that it looks prettier and only has two genres of games.
I still don't know how point #2 is a reason to get a console. =/
In case the screenshots weren't enough of a clue, Brink ain't yer typical FPS.
... it's not a newly announced game either.
I'm pretty sure there'll be a configuration options for servers to disable crossplay if they want to.
Then again, if it's two-player co-op, then I'll most likely be playing with an invited friend rather than a stranger.
Who on earth wants L4D3? Valve has to support L4D2 for like... 6 more years before their fanbase allows them to work on a third one.
It worked for getting me in here. =/
I believe the source engine has a demo recorder.
Same goes for the CoD-engine (they just popularized the whole theater-mode with BlOps, but the functionality was there from the start)
^ Yea, Sony is pushing 3D tech, despite it being available on PC ages ago.
>.>
See what happens when you take things too literally?
Great. So one step closer to replacing xfire.
^ Would be kinda hard to get Move popular for PC gaming when a mouse is more practical in most cases. It might work for those that have their PCs hooked in their living rooms, perhaps.
Motion Controls are still a gimmick as far as gaming goes. Kinect only flew on PC because it was being hacked for other purposes.
Edit: @Blackpanther
Yea, it'd be cool, but I don't see myself playing anything serious, especially not in front of a monitor.
Yea, don't you just hate idiots who don't spend their money like you want them to?
>.>
If only they stopped using their brains and started using yours, eh?
They pay him for the lulz.
Hmm, is Rage at 60fps or 30fps on consoles?
I doubt Rage on consoles would look visually better than KZ3 if it is running at 60fps.
Which is a pity since most people will just talk it down for not looking as good as exclusives while it actually pushes twice as many frames. =(
PC is a different story.
I'm really liking their new engine though. Brink and Rage have a unique visual style to them.
" force feedback trumps the accuracy argument in my book"
O.o?
Yea... force feedback is a better alternative to accurate controls. /s
Also, only idiots fork over the dough for upgrades each year. The PC hardware industry is just advancing technology and making it available.
It's like saying that the car industry is ripping you off because they release a new model each year and you decide to buy it.
The article i...
^ Well, due to past horrible experience with GFWL, I tend to not buy games that require GFWL. Though many people seem to be satisfied with it (and developpers still seem to integrate it), and they sometimes have some pretty good deals.
Don't know if they're going to kick the bucket yet. Especially with those random announcements about focusing on PC.
EL1TE is right, they're different platforms and the competition is different.
I don't ...
