Interesting way of putting it, I guess.

^ There's better racing sims than GT5 on PC.

Not that it really matters since it's down to opinion anyways. You can't say that PS3 has better games and assume it's a fact. It's just preference.

Also, MrBattle's argument was that a true gamer should have all systems to enjoy the variety they offer. You somehow assumed he was talking about graphics only, and then proceeded to burn the straw-man down.

Though you wouldn&#...

> Original argument: No-one downplayed MW2 for it's story

- I just showed one example where it did get criticized. I can show you more. Many reviewers complained about MW2's story (and its single-player in general) and it did affect its overall score.

That's all there is to it.
As for IGN, they gave it an overall higher score because they thought the multiplayer (along with spec-ops) worked as its saving grace.
At the time, it w...

^ Err... they would require upgrades why?
O.o

A modern PC is more than capable of handling those games; if they were developped/published for the PC.

The difference is that PC games usually come with mod support. In order to give the community freedom, the devs must go for a dynamic engine.

So although Killzone looks better (it certainly has more detail in it's environments) it also is limited whereas a game like stalker

MW2 was downplayed for it's ridiculous story too.
Just check IGN's review.

Though I've no clue how they can mark Bulletstorm higher just because of story. O.o

Yea, totally... PC Gamers should just shut the hell up and let the industry spiral into the casual market.

RPGs are just inching towards becoming action-adventure games with slightly-more-than-usual dialogue.

That, and you're very good at generalizing one person's opinions over all PC gamers.

The robots are the stars for co-op. Chell is the star for the solo single-player story.
GLaDOS is THE star.

On consoles maybe since the fov is set down to a mind-boggling low value (especially when it is supposed to be in widescreen).

I don't know why console games (along with some PC ones) don't come with adjustable fov. =/
There shouldn't be that large of a performance hit.

Err... but there really isn't that big of a co-relation between storage space and in-game graphics.

I suppose having more space would allow for bigger textures and fancier geometry, but it wouldn't matter since the hardware itself doesn't have enough memmory to handle it.
So I don't think the limited storage space is keeping the game back visually. Or at least, not by any significant margin.

This is why some of the best looking PC game...

^ Not really agreeing with that last sentence. I consider myself a PC gamer (and I hope I'm not a figment of both of our imaginations), and don't really feel all that excited about Crysis2.

Neither do I share any great excitement about most FPS games in general since they seem to be caught in a quagmire of genericness.
KZ3 and Crysis2 are/will-be decent games. As will probably be Homefront. They fall into the same bin for me.

However, the cons...

The Cube was a good mod too.

Anyways I am actually anticipating CoF since it was announced. AfraidOfMonsters (a previous mod by the same team) was also quite good.
It seems if you want real survival horror, then you'll find it in mods or indie games.

It's mind-blowing what they've done visually with the engine as it is. Look at the screenshots and then compare it to Half-Life.

Killzone is as realistic as BadCompany2 as far as game mechanics go.... i.e. not that realistic at all.

I haven't found a game to match TF2.

Anyways, there's RedOrchestra2 if you want realism, otherwise, I'm mostly excited about Brink as far as multiplayer goes.
