^ MAG had jets, tanks, APCs and more? O.o
I suppose in that case, COD does those things too. =/

Maybe warhawk would've been a better game to use?

That breakdown depends on when you take it.

I'd wager that initially (first couple of months) retail sales would be higher.
Digital sales however start picking up later on as discounts start appearing. Though that's just speculation on my part.

What would be interesting would be an actual profit breakdown considering that digital versions probably have a greater profit per sale.

... Ever heard of Minecraft? O.o

"It's the first time in a long time that a dev has supported PC one hundred percent and then the consoles second."

Doesn't that leave 0% for the consoles ... O.o?

EA/DICE have stated that they will be much more aggressive with DLC for BF3, and so I'm not all that surprised that they won't release mod tools.
Whatever, if mod tools are a big enough issue, I can always hop on over to RedOrchestra2.

MW2 was hacked open anyways... and you can find all sorts of mods in it now.
It even has all the wager modes from BlackOps (excluding sticks and stones) along with dedicated servers.

... but that's not what they're saying.

They're saying that well-written stories and good-looking visuals ultimately fall apart when you have shoddy AI. Advancing AI isn't the only way, but rather, it is an essential part, and one which they believe is currently lacking.

To me, fun gameplay essentially is all about the AI.

Guns don't kill people, death kills people.
Just ask a doctor, it's a medical fact.

What does this have to do with LulzSec or 4chan or GeoH? O.o

On PC, perhaps.

P2P is what's usually offered on console games.
Respawn is offering dedicated servers on ALL platforms, so it is something special.

It's worth it for TF2 alone.
Oh wait.

The Valve pack is THE best deal assuming you don't already own most of the games.

Kotick has stated in the past that he keeps an eye on the competition. What he's saying here is that he doesn't feel the need to comment on/against his competitors and he doesn't think about what the competition is saying.

In that regards, Kotick does tend to be better than EA, who are known to say negative things about their competition as well as making boastful claims.

Runs decently on PC as well.
Not fantastic, but... decent.

I usually hop in every once in a while... but I usually play unranked servers (they have an increased 24 player limit, but you don't get any exp).

Therein lies the danger.

DICE has to walk a fine line between pleasing the older BF crowd, and the newer BadCompany crowd. The two groups are expecting their own kind of game, and it remains to be seen if DICE can please both audiences, or if one group gets the shorter stick.

Personally, I've enjoyed both BC2 and BF2, so I just want the beta to roll around.

@Yellow

Yea, I'm seeing this with a lot of recent FPS games.
Homefront and Brink are two other cases where I also felt the devs failed to take full advantage of the setting.

Then again, story-telling in FPS games is a difficult thing to execute, and only a few games seem to do it well. Which is rather unfortunate.

Hmm, using code gives an 'invalid' error?
(I'm accessing it from Can., but haven't logged in to an account)

EDIT: Ah, thanks for that.
I already bought the game a long time ago, but figured it'd be useful to pass the deal onto a few friends. Oh well. =(

^ By that definition, most RPGs are overall bad games... or well, they do have good music.

I gave up on Fallout3 2-hours into it too.

I'm still trying to decide if I should nuke Megaton or not. =/

5471d ago 7 agree0 disagreeView comment

Yea, but console devs have to sweat their way through static hardware to get those fancy effects whereas the PC devs just hump the newer, fancier GPUs.
Not really a fair comparison there.

The visual special effects look good, but the overall feel is just too familiar for me.
Reminds me of neotokyo for some reason, might just be the location though.

Tango Down is on PC as well. (...and from what I've heard, isn't all that great on it either)

This is a newer game they're working on.

Yay, good to see some snowboarding games are still getting made.

I used to have so much fun with Cool Boarders... but the genre seems to have vanished nowadays.
Or maybe I just haven't been looking hard enough. =/
