That's like telling a freedom fighter to join the military.

They hate big corporations and governments and wouldn't want to work for them.
They're essentially the hippies of the digital age.

It's kind of depressing that the group who takes them down refuses to type 'you' correctly.

Even more depressing that teenage hackers took them down instead of an actual government agency.

Anyways, it's all just (poorly-written) words at the moment. Hopefully it actually leads to something solid.
For now, it doesn't look like they did anything to LulzSec.

... The comments here have made me jelly.

If EA stopped have a wang-waving competition with Activision, I'd be more inclined to get BF3.
I love DICE, but EA looming over them worries me.

Currently I'm looking more forwards to RedOrchestra2 than BF3... but meh, still need to wait for the beta and for EA to finalize their regional pre-order exclusives.

MW3 definitely won't be hitching a ride in my shopping cart unless it goes on some crazy sale.

The secret ingredient is 60fps.

Edit: Trolling? I thought the argument was pretty self-explanatory.
CoD is one of the few (only?) shooters out on consoles that runs at 60fps. The higher frame-rate is why the game just feels 'right' due to responsive controls.
You can hate CoD all you want, but you can't deny that it has some of the best controls for a console shooter.

If you got a CD Key with your steam copy, you can activate the key on EA's Origin as well. (I think)

"i mean i know only gamers and what not know about this crap"

No, gamers don't know much about this crap. Most people on N4G certainly don't have much of a clue either.

LulzSec's douchebaggery isn't restricted to the gaming domain, and most of the attention they're getting is from the political world since LulzSec has been actively campaigning against governments and affiliated agencies.

Their argument is that Sony's prices have the most disparity when compared with competing console manufacturers.

Though Sony isn't the only one at fault. Most publishers also have obscene regional pricing. (Aussies and NewZealand folks get the shortest stick)
Then again, european customers do get a better deal than americans every now and then.

Isn't Ryan Cleary the guy who started going against Anon?
He used to be with Anon, then went rogue and attacked Anonymous.
(Here's a link to one of the articles that mentions his attack http://bit.ly/jV8z0Y )
In order to get revenge, Anon found out and released Ryan's info... which is probably how he got caught by the police.

If anything, it's amazing it took this long to catch him whe...

^ Fine then, a bunch of kids who think they're cool are somehow taking down Government sites, attacking the CIA and FBI, stealing databases sporadically from major corporations, and have still yet to be caught.

... The dude is 19 years old.
That's an adult in most places.

That, and he's mainly just an IRC admin and was responsible for ATTACKING anonymous.
If anything, it's a bad thing he got caught as he was trying to hinder Anonymous.

"Someone buys that copy and tries to use the key and it won't work and take the game back saying the use has been used and demand a refund again and the store would have to comply as the game can't be used at all.

That is the real problem. "

Err... what? O.o
Don't all PC games have CD-Keys? You can easily do the same steps you described using a non-steam retail game.

Urgh, doesn't that mean that there'll be even less teamwork in the game now?

^ A simple trick I use is adding a space or two after the password.

I don't know how valid my theory is, but I assume that if my password was ever leaked, the hacker wouldn't know that there was a space after it.

Of course, not all places accept the space as a valid character in the password =(

I'm wondering how they'll actually pull the pyro one off.
Or it'll just be 2-minutes of roasting other classes at inopportune times.

" THE ENTIRE HUMAN RACE cannot see a difference between 30 and 60 fps! It is not detectable by the human eye!"

I really hate seeing this comment. It is a completely false statement. A healthy human eye can detect changes even above 60fps.

Also, higher frame-rate's major advantage isn't in visual fluidity, but rather, it is in the response and control of the game since the response time is decreased.
Whether people realize it or not, ...

"Why even show the footage to us if that's not what we're getting?"

They're showing you footage of a game that you can get. They never state that the game you buy will look like that, only that it can look that good, and anyways, it doesn't make much sense to be showing an inferior version of a game in order to promote.

I believe the first small PSN downtime was Anon (DDoS attack), the longer downtime was LulzSec (the one during which Sony took down PSN themselves and actual personal information was stolen).
I didn't follow that story as closely.
I wouldn't say that the PSN attack was bigger than what LulzSec did with the pron database or the attack on the CIA. (or hell, even the meddling with the FBI)

Shit was always getting hacked. It just wasn't publicized as m...

How has Anon caused the most trouble? O.o
LulzSec is the bigger fish. They've hit numerous sites, released a boat-load of personal information as well as attack the CIA.

Justification does matter. You can't judge an action without context.
LulzSec is doing this to show everyone how feeble the net is. They didn't invent these security loop-holes, they were there all along.
Anonymous on the other hands believes in attacking organizations for ...
