Let us use this opportunity to clear out our backlog people. Some of us may even have enough games in there to last us through the remainder of the generation.
Let those expensive consoles, GPUs and games stay on store shelves, we will be fine. Let them use their political power to lobby for better market conditions.
Your comment doesn't make any sense because the increase is a result of the tarrifts. Xbox consoles are made in China so those of us who were paying attention already knew this was inevitable. There is talks of an exception for some electronics from China but it wasn't clear if gaming hardware is included.
Eventually PlayStation consoles will go up in the USA now that Microsoft has made their move so why are you trying to score a victory lap?

How about getting one used.
Glad they are seeing success from this. The game is one of the best racing games on the market. There are not much arcade racers available on PlayStation so to get a AAA experience is welcomed.
Based on the info in the article, I see haptic feedback being mentioned and features to further reduce latency on PC and console but no mention of hall effect.
Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft must know something we don't about hall effect to make them not want to use it in their controllers.
Turn based is not dead but it is not as popular as it once was.
I personally don't mind as real time combat and turned based can be enjoyed. Turn based games tend to be more difficult and requires patience.
When those streaming services were first put forward, they didn't have the same premium price point they have now. It was actually affordable even for low-income families. The current market conditions have caused prices to increase because they didn't take off as expected.
The hardware situation for chips is not getting better and, instead, it is getting worse in current times with not only high demand but with governments trying to manipulate the manufacturing and di...
I will never understand the review bombing mentality. It is sad because there are hundreds of games out there to play so there is no point to do this. This is one of the low points of our community and 9 out of 10 times, it is for something stupid.
This may be a case of an idea being ahead of its time. With the price of hardware and games getting more expensive coupled with supply issues, an option to play games at a cheaper upfront cost than before whether local or on the cloud, would lead people to make compromises and take advantage of it.
The meaning of physical games are being tested on the Nintendo switch 2 and it is only a matter of time before others follow.
This is good news. As soon as I am done with days gone I am moving on to either this or oblivion
I am stuck between playing this or the days gone remaster this weekend.
I never played the original days gone and it was sitting in my library for years
How is square able to keep up with their normal release cadence while other studios can't?
I have been playing Warframe for a few years, and it is one of the best free-to-play games of all time. Normally in progression style free-to-play games, the developers put in artificial barriers to force you to spend money, but that does not happen in Warframe. What makes this better is that premium currency can be traded. That is unheard of in other free-to-play games.
If you are looking for a free-to-play live service game to play, then I recommend Warframe. Just procee...
That combo was way overkill 😂
To the person's that are upset about the increase now and wish to boycott. I really wished you all joined me when they originally increased the price from $60 to $80 USD. Maybe if enough of us cancelled their subscription then, we wouldn't be seeing this foolishness from Sony now.
There are currently 323 bots in the game, so there need to be 1 or 2 more to balance things out. Ending things at that odd number doesn't sit well with me.
At this time, emulation is the number one way to ensure game preservation. Even Sony and Nintendo is using this method officially to make older games playable on their consoles.
If my emulation were to go away then there is a chance the retro gaming market is likely fall into an even smaller niche since the newer generation of gamers will not even know those games existed.
"Also the tariffs are for the USA, so why are the other countries now paying more? Sony protecting American consumers by making everyone else pay more."
This is also why the subscription fees were increased as well.
Same here. I let my subscription lapse since it ran out last summer. If we do the math, is a console really cheaper than a PC? It sucks that I can no longer play Helldivers 2, but it is not worth spending so much on the subscription fee for a function that should be free.
PS plus essential is $80
PS5 is $500
The generation is expected to last 7-8 years, which means you would have spent at least $1060 just to access basic features along with the initial pur...
They may have to consider delaying next gen until 2030 with these high prices unless some game changing feature gets released.
