I guess the resistance against always online and digital only consoles is BS. The people have voted with their wallets.

I am sure most of the people who say it is disappointing are the ones that own the console and remember what it was like to own a PS4. The PS5 is both the most disappointing and the best Playstation to date.

We have seen all these major acquisitions in the past couple of years and I do not think we need anymore of them. If Sony does get WB games, expect those games to be exclusive to Playstation and release 1 year later on PC. Gamers lose if this is the case.

If Sony wants to continue their live service ambitions with the ips under WB, this will also be bad for gamers. I can't say Sony will make things better because they are a different company from what they were during ...

An old dell optiplex is not playing this game in an enjoyable way. The game requires a GPU with 8Gb vram at a minimum. This is basically a PC with an rtx xx70 series or higher.

So the minimum is a system that is comparable to the PS5 and Series X, while the recommended specs require a high end PC containing an RTX 3080 or better. I understand making the best game you can possibly make, but we don't have access to PC GPUs like we did in the past. The game will have an uphill battle.

True because I wouldn't have played it either. It's just that I read those books after playing the game and thinking back, a lot of the motivations of each character started making more sense.

I just wanted to through that tip out there to recommend someone try to understand the cyberpunk genre more before playing. They will get more out of the game.

@Profchaos the WiiU likely had the worst of the bunch which is partly why the system failed.

The gamecube had smash bros melee that launched 2 months after the initial release and that is one of the best games to release on that console. I assume every gamecube owner would be happy with that game.

The switch had Breath of the Wild which is still considered one of the best games of all time. I remember playing through that game and unlocked every equipment...

Finally, some good news. It seems all we have been getting lately is negativity back to back. I am thinking of purchasing the Steam version of Helldivers 2 since I can no longer play on the console due to the subscription lapsing.

This may be one of the weakest launch lineups Nintendo has ever had, with Mario Kart being the only first party game, but Cyberpunk 2077 will definitely give you tremendous value for your money.

One tip I can give people who have never played the game is to first read books from the cyberpunk subgenre. This will allow you to appreciate the story much better. If you find yourself asking which life path is the best to take at the start of the game, in this case it is Corpo, S...

It is unfortunate but the switch 2 is comparable to an Rtx 3050 mobile GPU.

This combined with the fact that it does not have access to the same amount of watts as the PS4 pro or the Xbox Series S will make it difficult to compare. The AI features will need to do a lot of heavy lifting to allow the handheld to keep up.

@neutralgamer1992 You said what needed to be said.

I have heard for years from older gamers that fanboys are the biggest issue with any fanbase. They will defend or gloss over negative news as long as the correct logo is on the box and they bash the competing platform no matter how much good they are trying to bring.

Right now their advocacy for PlayStation is elevating that platform so high that Sony no longer believes they need to do anything to satisfy...

This numbers are good. 35 million is a large number especially if Microsoft is getting a monthly income from all those members.

One thing that is bottlenecking Gamepass success is the console sales. I have a feeling that the majority of Gamepass subscribers are the people who game on Xbox consoles. Xbox and Microsoft should have done a better job at encouraging people to game on their Xbox console.

I was always an advocate of them putting a light version...

If it means I won't have to pay any subscription fees for online gaming I would say yes to that.

359d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Right now that is a small inconvenience as the play anywhere program is not perfect.

You have to consider that it is offering something that no one else is doing for a large number of titles. That small nitpick should not count against this device and we as gamers should support moves like this.

So for you if it had an OLED screen but stay in a closed walled off software ecosystem, that would be pro consumer?

This is for the people who want an ergonomic handheld with as much power they could possibly get without compromising the battery life. It also gives you the ability to connect to your own display or an external GPU for those with the budget. What I love about it the most is that you have multiple competing store fronts so you can shop around for the best pric...

What about it makes it underwhelming? It is nothing like the portal because you play your games natively.

If you must play the outer worlds 2, play it on Gamepass. like most single player games, it may be a 1 and done experience.

Reject $80 games.

With it's light weight version of windows, ergonomic controls, gaming performance, and open system with multiple store launchers, it may be the best handheld on the market. This device is more pro consumer instead of a handheld that just plays Xbox games.

If my cash wasn't so tight this year I would be looking to pick up one at or around launch and I have no issues recommending it to any gamer as long as it is within their price range.

It feels like the showcase was mainly for the Asus Rog Ally X. Sarah Bond mentioned that all the games they previewed in the showcase are playable on the handheld.

I don't anticipate this selling well for several reasons.

1 The game is being released at full price $70 price. Sure, this includes all the DLC content but I think people may be hesitant because it is an old game.

2 It was shadow dropped. There was no marketing or lead up to the release of FF16 so some of the potential buyers who didn't watch the Xbox Showcase may be unaware that it is out.

3 The stupid take from some influenc...
