It is one of the better-looking limited edition controllers outside of the Spider-Man 2 controller, but I don't understand the reason for releasing this controller when there have been no new games in the series for the past 5 years. There are also the recent statements from Niel Druckmann saying the second game may end up being the last in the series.
Why would anyone continue to update their PS3 in 2025?
My old PS4 has been disconnected from the Internet since 2020. If I keep it I can mod it and if I sell it, it will have a higher value.
Monster hunter wilds is contributing to this. It is now the top seller with over a million peak players.
I think you are missing the point. The people who said Astro Bot had low sales did not say so to take a jab at PlayStation. Astro Bot is a great game and the people who actually played it want more games like it, however, we cannot convince Sony to invest more into the franchise if the sales are $1.5M. We see what Sony did to Days Gone and how hesitant Nintendo is about making games like Metroid or how Capcom feels about making MegaMan games. They are of the belief that "I have to green ...
I hope so. I just completed Half life 2 and it's episodes in VR a few months ago. I can't wait to see how the story continues and if there will be a link to Portal.
This is actually a good bundle. Sony should consider doing bundles of game of the year titles at some point.
I still play Astro Bot to this date dispite playing the game at launch. A new level came out yesterday and I plan on playing it either later today after work or tomorrow morning if I have the time. I wish other studios supported their games like this and what Team Asobi is doing is showing emmence gratitude to it's fans.
I disagree VR does have killer apps, however, they may not be in the same way you expect.
There are different things that can motivate someone to try VR. If you live a sedentary lifestyle and want to get more active for health reasons, then VR is a good Start. There are some really good fitness apps with virtual personal trainers like Les Mills Body Combat that will push you to your limit. In addition to that there are VR games that can give you a workout without you reali...
That is the best month for PS plus in a while.
There are pros and cons to everything.
We can say the pros of single-player games are that you get a memorable experience and you can play at your own pace.
The cons of single-player or offline multiplayer gaming are that often times games are either too short or too long. Some also require you to get to a few hours in before it gets good. Some are good at the start but only to fall off closer to the end. Many have no replay value. You also have to lookout for spoi...
I live the talk about creative innovation. I got burned out from the Ghost of Tsushima and haven't completed it yet, but I will get around to it close to the launch of this game.
This is a real shame. It seems every week I see news of a round of layoffs. I hope the developers that have recently lost their jobs don't get discouraged and come back better than ever.
I partially agree. Yes, the PS1 did a great job of making the development of 3D gaming easier and cheaper but the reality is that when we look back the beat 3D games from that time, some would think of the N64. I believe that console deserves some credit as Super Mario 64 and The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of time are great examples of games that set a high bar for 3D gaming. For the people who actually played those games back then, they had a great time and still remember those experiences to t...
I am curious to see how this will be implemented. If used right as an aid to developers rather than replacing them and producing inferior content, we could see the development time between games shorten with less bugs.
Let us see if they take the sensible approach.
Gotham Knights, Redfall and Hellblade 2 didn't do well commercially. Most Gamepass users didn't even download those 2 Xbox games that launched at 30 fps.
Dragons Dogma 2 and Starfield didn't do as well as they could have partly because they launched at 30 fps.
Mark Cerny himself said the majority of gamers on PS5 play on performance mode. In most cases the game is not set to performance by default but the gamers are presented with the choice...
I can only recommend the PS5 Pro to people who want a console, have plenty of disposable income, and a 4K OLED TV with a 120 Hz refresh rate. The base PS5 is still fine for everybody else. With the base model, you will still have an experience that is acceptable for most games with a few exceptions. Developers have gotten the message that 30 FPS equals a commercial disaster, and even games that were originally released at 30 FPS have gotten a performance update with a few exceptions.

"World will return to local compute" once the cost of high GPU performance lowers"
That comment reflects the poor reality of PC gaming at the moment. The MSRP prices Nvidia showcased in their presentations do not reflect reality. Cards from board partners are being sold for $200 to 300 more. The new RTX 5070 TI is being sold between $900 to $1000. Imagine a 70 class GPU at $1000. It's like Nvidia wants to push everyone to GeForce Now while they focus thei...
Not surprised by this, they did the same thing when the PS5 version of the FF7 remake came out as well as the Uncharted 4 legacy of thieves collection.
This is just another way to make as much money as possible. I don't like it but they may be setting a precedent with this offer just like they did when they released the horse Armor dlc with the elder scrolls 4.
That launched the multi billion dollar micro transaction industry.
I already know the Pokemon from the newer games will likely be in the new smash brows. A new iteration of Mario from their upcoming 3d release will also be u there. If we are talking about guest characters, I would like to see mini Goku in the new smash.
You must be new to gaming. Anytime in this industry, gamers accept a higher pricing model without protest; it becomes the new norm going forward. It is like you won't mind if the PS6 is $700 to $1000.
We see this happening with microtransactions, $70 new game releases, $10 remastered PS5 upgrades, PC components, online subscriptions, and DLC being advertised prior to the release of the base game.
