There is a strong chance the game of the year has already been decided.
Donkey Kong Bonanza is receiving 10 out of 10s across the board, and it was developed by the same team who made Mario Odyssey.
I do hope Ghost of Yotei will end up as a nominee, as I do not plan on buying a Switch 2 anytime soon.
The wealthy want to move towards automation to reduce their operating expenses. This is why we are seeing so much investment in AI and robotics. Day by day, I sometimes wonder if we are just 20 years away from a dystopian cyberpunk like future where corporations own everything.
I know it has some premium features but they should try to keep the price under $600.
We also need to see some benchmarks.
Well, this is to be expected because it's not like they take a long vacation whenever they are finished with a game.
I just hope it is not another remaster.
Yes, this is one of the true masterpieces that I believe every core gamer should play.
It even holds up to this day.
Sad to say, I have not played Tears of the Kingdom as yet, but I did love Breath of the Wild. Before Breath of the Wild, I was getting tired of Zelda games following the same formula from start to finish. They even had you unlocking the same weapons every game.
Breath of the Wild was like a breath of fresh air, no pun intended, and changed up the formula drastically, much like what Ocarina of Time did for the series back in the day.
I did not read the ent...
"It isn't though, every company doesn't lay off and then put an add out about hiring. Especially for the same jobs you just laid people off for."
Don't quote me on this because I can only speak from my experience with other companies, but this is not uncommon. If department A lays off its staff and department B needs that same position, they will sometimes put out a job offer to make the process fair to the people who were eyeing that position in depar...
I hope EA shelves the series for a few years and have Criterion make another Burnout game. Even Burnout Paradise was a decent game.
I don't not agree because it has been a while since I enjoyed a Need for Speed game.
The last outstanding release they had was Need for Speed Most Wanted 2005. That game made me feel like I was a character in the older fast and furious movies.
Forza Horizon not only has more than 10x the content, it is a different type of game that brings in something fresh. It is not perfect as I think drifting and the progression path sucks in Forza Horizon but ever...
I would not put Returnal in the best list. The game is a bullet hell rouge like. It is definitely not something I would recommended for your average gamer. In fact I would like to see a percentage of how many persons actually completed the game.
I know there are plenty of people who are loving their Switch 2 consoles, however, I cannot see myself supporting that company in the near future because of it's anti-consumer practices.
Very good. I saw an update being installed for Astrobot earlier but didn't check it out. I will boot it up tomorrow.
Cyberpunk and Risk of rain 2 are the best of the bunch. Not a bad month if you are one of the few that haven't played those games.
@isarai "Also have no clue how you made Literally any connection to Nintendo's creation of the switch having anything to do with the existence of Xbox"
Towards the end of the GameCube's cycle, Nintendo no longer wanted to compete directly with Sony and Microsoft. They wanted to carve out their own niche. This paid off with the highly successful Wii console.
They got a foothold on the casual market but lost ground with the Wii U, partly ...
@isarai "not even remotely true, Ape Escape, Gran Turismo, alundra, final fantasy twisted metal mlb, spyro etc, in fact"
In terms of funding and resources, those games are nowhere near the titles we see coming from Playstation towards the end of the PS3 leading into the PS4's generation. I am also not sure why you added Final Fantasy because Final Fantasy X was made and published by Square Enix. Sony did not even fund the development for Final Fantasy 7. The previous CE...
I haven't played the game in over a year because I let my PS Plus lapse after the price increase, but I suppose using emotes is a good way of aiding with that mechanic, assuming you are playing with people that know to look out for it.
So if Sony and Nintendo continued with the same mindset they had in the GameCube and PS3 days, would you be okay with that as a consumer?
Remember, Sony never made significant investments in high quality AAA IPs until they had to go hard against Microsoft and the Xbox 360. You would be seeing a different company today.
Nintendo would have also continued making consoles and kept their handhelds separate. There would be no Wii or Nintendo Switch had Microso...
The main challenge I see here with the Xbox version is the satellite alignment objectives. On the PS5 when playing with random people, I had to take charge and turn on the mic on my controller to give instructions.
It is much easier than memorizing what is on the console and running over to the satellite to align it while enemies are bearing down on you.
There is a possibility some Xbox users don't have a mic, which would in turn make those segments m...
It would be a massive shame if this game is actually canceled.
I haven't played it myself but I remember watching my younger brother play it back in the day on PS1 and it looked amazing with all the summons and ultima weapons.
If we don't learn anything new by the end of the year then I may as well give it a play through.
This is disappointing. I did purchase a movie from there about a year ago and I tend to check it from time to time to see the new releases. I guess Amazon is one of the few places that is left that still sells or rents movies.
