@andy85 I highly doubt CDPR wanted to release their game in that state. It got so bad that Sony delisted the game and when it went back up they added a disclaimer for people on PS4.
@franwex that is why they got so much backlash because last gen consoles were not good enough to run the game in a state that matched the footage CDPR was marketing.
@Christopher none of the improvements since Patch 2.0 are available on last gen consoles. That patch brought in ma...
Cyberpunk 2077 is not a last gen game. It is a current gen game that was ported to last gen consoles and we saw the result.
That game supports more next gen features than 95% of the games on the market today.
This does add credibility of Sony paying for timed exclusivity since the developer said it is not possible on the Xbox because of the series S yet exactly 1 year later which is the typical time frame for exclusivity deals, it is being released on Xbox.
This is not a surprise. I was blown away by Forza Horizon 5 when I first played it on the series X. It was a nice break from all the racing sims we have been getting on the platform. I love the set pieces and over the top races but I don't like the drifting.
I can forgiven Ark for dropping support for Dragon Ball Fighters if this is what they were working on.
I started playing the game on Gamepass a while back. I stopped because it wasn't my cup of tea.
I am glad they were able to build a fan base for this game.
An Xbox handheld would fail on arrival, as there is no market for it due to the weak position their console holds. What I want is for the existing console to become less closed by offering an optimized version of Windows with a console-like front end.
If they can give us a Steam Deck like experience with the power of the series consoles, then I would have no issues recommending their console to any gamer. This idea is to remain competitive in their multiplatform strategy.

I played through most of the PS4 version of the game but stopped because another game came out. I bought it last year for PC with the intention of using the VR mod but haven't gotten around to setting it up. I am glad I waited.
I realized after doing more research. Not even EA would be that crazy. Didn't realize anyone was replying.
The industry is extremely volatile these days with layoffs happening every other day.
I repurchased them because they had VR mods.
PC is the best platform for gaming simply because it is open. Nowadays developers have been taking a minimalist approach to developing their games to the point where many new games feels like games we have played before or they don't do enough with their potential to be greater.
Mod support can breathe new life into a game or bring quality of life improvements and additional content.
If Sony allowed subscriptions to be sold by third party sellers like they did in the PS4 days, you would not have this problem.
"OLED refresh may follow"
Correction, the OLED refresh will follow.
Why are companies like this these days. It seems everyone is trying to take more and give less back to their loyal base.
I think playatation stars was awesome before the recent changes and I even used it to get a $10 gift card to go towards my purchase of Astro Boy at launch.
What is Sony doing for loyal PlayStation customers at this time?
It should have been a PvE game.
CDPR was among the first developers to use Nvidia's Rtx and AI tech in their game so it is no surprise they have an advantage over other devs.
It is time to leave these competitive live service efforts behind. That segment of the market is now over saturated and the only thing that can cause someone to stop playing their existing live service game for another are content droughts or insufferable greed.
If you must do love service, then make games that are cooperative instead of competitive.
Time will tell.
I am excited to play Sonic Crossworlds but I think the price tag is a bit too high. The typical Sonic game cost between $40 to $60 but Crossworlds is $70.
Unless they are prepared to give is something that is Mario kart level in terms of content, I think they need to reconsider the price to be about $60 at most.
