Well from reading the comments none of them know what RAM is or what it's used for so you shouldn't take any of their comments seriously.
The ram is simply a buffer for the games. Since the switch uses solid state media that has high read speeds it doesn't need that much of a buffer. Anything close to 8GB of ram on the switch will be overkill and most like would never be used.
GDDR5 is based off of ddr3 ram so that first thing you listed is completely wrong. The switch has DDR4 ram not ddr3. RAM(random access memory) is a buffer to load assets and has nothing to do with power. The power of a electronic device depends on the capabilities of the cpu and gpu. Depending on how well suited the cpu & gpu are to each other that is what determines what the device is capable of.

Ram does not equal power. Ram is used as a buffer to load the game into inorder for the game to run at a decent speed. The games on the ps4/x1 need to be installed because the read speed on bluray is too slow. The hdd on the ps4 is limited to 85MB/s so the console has to load assets into the ram so that the game can run. On the switch the cartridge read speed is fast enough to load the game quickly so there isn't a need for a large buffer. That's why games on the...

That would happen if you're willing to pay $600+ for a handheld. The portable won't have a sdd in it because that would take up too much space and if you're thinking that Sony could put in 500GB of flash memory then you better be ready to pay over $1,000 for it.

The power plug that comes with the Switch is the one that you plug into the dock to power the dock on.
Wow that's a serious problem for ScanDisk. I'm glad I went with the Samsung one.
I don't think they're going to update the console itself in 18 months but there was a rumor that nintendo was working on a dock with a graphics card in it. They could call it the pro dock and charge like $150 for it or something. The next version of the switch will probably come in like 3 or 4 years.

I think reviewers review consoles at launch with their potential in mind too. None of the consoles in the 8th gen were any good at launch but they had potential. When you get a console at launch it's always about what the console can be down the road.
What has me most excited about the switch is all the great rpg's coming from the 3ds.
I don't know if there is going to be a metroid announcement at e3. I think retro is making their own new ip but with all the hiring they've done in the last few years they should be big enough to work on two games.
The 3ds is not the best selling handheld ever that would be the ds and if you go outside you'll see plenty of people playing the 3ds.
Nintendo did say that were ramping up production of the console because there was pretty high demand and there's supposed to be another shipment this week. If Nintendo can keep up the stock then the switch should sell pretty well.
If the switch sells like the wii that would be a great thing for nintendo. The ps4 and the pro had more problems than the switch does. The game was pretty close to being done at launch. It should be playable at e3 too.
There's supposed to be another shipment coming this week, and Nintendo needs to get more accessories in stock because I need a hard shell case for my switch.
I think the restocks are supposed to come sometime this week or early next week.
