Basically
Square has been back with nintendo since the ds, the switch is just the latest nintendo console that functions as a handheld and they know that their games are popular among the fanbase, so they are following the money. Sony will be getting Square Enix games also, so they don't really have to be worried.
Also Square can make exclusive games on the Nintendo consoles, like bravely default and they will sell well. Their games just appeal and sell more to sony/nintendo fans.
No, the reason they are focusing more on the switch is because the switch will sell much more than the scorpio in Japan and Nintendo fans buy the type of games that square enix makes. They had a lot of success on the 3ds with games like Bravely Default, Dragon Quest, and Kingdom Hearts. Square Enix games sell better on nintendo than they do on the xbox consoles because Nintendo fans like rpg's.
If you have any electronic device with a screen that is portable/mobile, you should get a tempered glass screen protector because shit happens sometimes.
You do know that nintendo had 2 consoles out and the 3ds made a lot of japanese devs money. The 3ds was a rpg machine and most of those rpgs sold very well on it. The reason they're not focusing on the scorpio is because those type of games don't sell on the xbox consoles. Nintendo fans and Sony fans love rpg's/japanese style games, so why won't they focus on those consoles instead?
Did sony do the same thing with all the faulty ps4/pro consoles that were broken at launch? Did ms do the same with the 60% broken 360's? It's a nice gesture for them to give the consumers that got faulty products a gift for the inconvenience of having to send the console to get fixed.
@pfft
Those titles are nowhere near as popular as gow or mario and won't be any competition for those games. No one is going to buy a scorpio for sea of thieves, when they could get it with the x1s. They could get a switch with mario or a ps4s with gow for cheaper than they can get a scorpio. Those titles aren't compelling enough for anyone to spend that type of money. Gow and Mario are two of the biggest ip in gaming and if you think sea of thieves or crackdown are anywhere...
I could see the ps4 slim cutting into the scorpio sells this holiday with gow coming at the same time as mario.
Nintendo said it's a hybrid console, which it is. The thing that will make it hard for the scorpio is not the hardware of the switch/ps4, it's the big titles that the ps4/switch have coming this holiday. With mario and gow coming it's going to be tough for microsoft to make a compelling argument for someone to buy a more expensive console that doesn't have any games as good as what the other two have coming this holiday.
Mario kart 8 Deluxe, Splatoon 2, Mario odyssey, and from the looks of it, the switch being a really powerful handheld is also a system seller. With more japanese third party games from the 3ds getting on board the switch is going to continue to sell well.
The scorpio is a upgrade console that is going to have the same problems the x1 has in terms of software and will be going against two consoles that are cheaper, have better software released this year, and will both have a major system seller coming out this holiday. They need to be worried or they will not be able to compete. Mario odyssey and God of War with a cheaper console($300 switch/ ps4 slim) will be much more compelling to people than a upgrade console.
Games sell hardware not the other way around. The Scorpio is going to have the same problems as the regular x1 and that is there aren't enough games that differentiate it from the ps4. The switch and the ps4 are going to cleanup this holiday with mario odyssey and gow coming out. The scorpio will need some new exclusive software that you can't get on the other x1 if it wants to compete. We already seen with the ps4 pro that if you have a cheaper alternative that plays the same games p...
With the switch being popular and Nintendo having Mario odyssey coming out this holiday, the switch is going to be a big problem for the scorpio. For most people there won't be any reason to get a scorpio since there's nothing announced for it, it's going to be expensive, and it's going to have the same games library as the regular x1.
These are the idiots that protested Pokemon and said that pokemon being in pokeballs is abuse. Pokemon aren't even real.
That's one of the things that surprised me when I got one. The pictures made this console look so much bigger than it actually is.
Obviously they don't and they never played one. They most likely have never even seen one in person.
I read a article that said amazon is one of the worst companies to work for. They overwork and stress their employees out, the average time someone works there is like 1 - 2 years.
They didn't under ship, there's over 2 million units in the wild and there was new stock last saturday and wednesday, which sold out in minutes. The switch is just popular and when a piece of electronics is popular they tend to be hard to find. The people that are falling for this only have themselves to blame for thinking that a brand new electronic device is going to be sold for half price by a brand new account that has 1 or 2 seller feedbacks in their selling history. Also amazon ...
Yeah it's pretty crazy. The restock that they had at toysrus a couple of weeks ago had a line like it was launch day. This console can be a huge success if nintendo can keep the steady line of games coming. This console is going to be hard as hell to get this holiday season and if nintendo makes a full animal crossing game or a pokemon game, it'll be impossible to find this console.
