With all the upgrade and .5 consoles, I think the days of having a defined generation are over. Companies are just going to release their new consoles whenever they feel like it.
Also this version comes with the dlc from the wiiu version.
The funniest part of it is that the companies don't give a flying fuck about the dumbass console wars. Companies are about making money, not which box of plastic and silicon is best. If you buy Horizon and Zelda, neither Nintendo nor Sony give a fuck because they already got their money.
It's just a upgrade console that's not going to be M$ main/flagship console. M$ flagship is going to be the x1s. The scorpio is just a console for the major xbox fans, it's going to be niche and not the console most people buy, just like the ps4 pro. I doubt that M$ is putting all their hopes in this console.

They never went anywhere. It's just gamers finally realize that western AAA third party games are not creative, do the same exact thing in their yearly releases and the Japanese devs are the only ones besides indies that are doing something different.
It's going to be like the ps4 pro where the premium version doesn't sell as well as the original/slim.
It's not going to do crazy numbers but it will sell okay. It's going to be like the pro, where the hardcores go for the scorpio and everyone else will go for the cheaper x1s. The big console for ms is the x1s and the scorpio will be the premium model.

True. Just pokemon and animal crossing alone are going to move a ridiculous amount of switch's. It would be like the second year of the 3ds, where it was impossible to find one.
No it won't. Most people that want a xbox are going to be getting the cheaper x1s, which will have the same games library and be much cheaper.

I don't think Sega would ever be against another bayo game for nintendo, since ninty is the one that funds and publishes the game and sega doesn't have to come out of their own pockets to make it.
I could see them making a top down Zelda. If they could come out with a full animal crossing, Pokemon, and Bayonetta 3 to join Fire Emblem, Project octopath Traveler, and Shin Megami Tensai 5, they would have a really good second year. If they could even get a monster hunter for the switch, that'll be great. Also there's the pikimin game that they were working on...
I think a game like rocket league will be huge on the switch. If they can make a lan mode for Overwatch on the switch that would be dope.
