Have you even seen the pictures of the system being taken apart? The switch has great design and engineering. The switch is about as strong as a xbox one and it is very easy to code on and write to metal, supports all the current and next gen api/engines like vulkan. Nintendo never releases the specs of their consoles and never have, so this whole "confidence" thing is pretty stupid. If they weren't confident they wouldn't have people playing the console at events while allo...

Or they don't want a very important launch game to be spoiled before its release.

People on this site don't seem to really know what being portable actually means in the modern age.

Apparently there is also high demand for Bomberman and 1 2 switch. The attach rate for Zelda is going to be very high.

If you live in ny, you can try toys r us or bestbuy. They said that they will have some switch consoles for the customers that didn't preorder.

The samsung note 7 came with one of two batteries one by Amperex and one by Samsung, but I think the problem was that Samsung just tried to pack way too much tech in a really thin package and they didn't do it properly.

Also from Samsung said that the batteries that had the faults were the ones made by samsung.

It was the notes design and samsungs own batteries that made the note overheat and catch fire. That's why they couldn't figure out what was wrong in the first recall before they did a second recall and killed all the samsung note 7's

No the manufacturer is the one that had the good batteries. Samsung said the problem was with the Samsung batteries and the way they designed the note 7. The note 7 had batteries from this manufacturer and Samsung manufactured their own batteries. Samsung admitted that they were the ones that made design mistakes with the phones.

How does wanting to make a profit make a company greedy? I guess Sony is greedy because they sold the ps4 at a profit? Or Since sony lost billions with the ps3 that they still haven't recouped, they are the most generous company?
Is Sony's tv division generous because they always lose money even though they have some of the most expensive tv's? I guess Sony is really generous because they just lost a billion dollars?

These conso...

IIRC the first nx patent had wii like controllers on the side and I don't think they detached yet.

Nintendo has been trying to do the switch for like the last 20 years and at this point in time it looks like the future of gaming is most likely going to be hybrid gaming.

Actually Capcom is porting the RE7 engine to the switch and are testing RE7. As for Persona that series is more on the Playstation Platform and Nintendo usually gets the Shin Megami Tensei games. Atlus has already shown a SMT game that's coming to the switch.

Actually they aren't. $300 for the switch is a good price especially with the tech inside the system. $80 for the joycons is a good price and the only similar controllers to it are the htc vive and they cost a lot more than the switch controllers. The pro controller has all the tech from the joycons inside it plus it has a 40 hour battery. The dock being $90 is also a good price because a 15v 2.6a + usb-c power adapters cost more than the dock does. Similar products from apple and google ...

You do know that Arm is extremely similar to x86 and doesn't take much time to port from one to the other. In some aspects it's easier to port games to the switch from pc than it is to the ps4 and xbox one.It only took Sumo Digital a week to get snake pass up and running on the switch. If you're not familiar with the Arm architecture do some research on it. It's actually very easy to develop on, is very similar to x86 and can do things that Intel hasn't been able to do on ...

The switch does have the ability to appeal to wide audience, but no console is for everyone.

It's not that the wiiu was hard to develop for, it was that the architecture of the wiiu was very different than x86 so they had to get another team to code it completely differently which costs time and money.
