You said the gameplay didn't deliver. It DID deliver because the standard combat is actually mechanically solid and feels better than a lot of mediocre shooters. The problem with the game is there just isn't much of it, but just because there isn't much of it, that doesn't mean the combat that IS there isn't engaging because it is. It feels good to play.
Yes it did. The core combat was solid. There just wasn't a lot of it
Did you ever stop to think maybe just maybe some people find hardware fascinating and like learning about visual differences between the same game across multiple platforms even if they don't own the platform or will never get the game??? I love PC vs console comparisons even though I will never game on PC due to it being digital only, but hardware is fascinating. I like graphics comparisons.
Worse animations than mass effect 1 10 years ago on last gen hardware. That is unacceptable. Animations for the games were never stellar, but they were pretty good for rpg standards of that generation while Andromeda's animations are worse than decade old games on decade old hardware. That is some messed up unacceptable trash
This will be the first pre-order in my entire life I have ever cancelled
Unless those secret dlc plans include being free updates for everyone, I don't care about dlc plans for a game that has yet to be released
When you play the game yourself, it makes perfect sense how it all fits together. It's more than a simple "play the same game again and again to learn more".
The second story route may be the same main story as the first, but the new character along with constant added story scenes throughout thanks to the additional perspective make you sit back and reflect on stuff you thought you knew. It's incredibly poignant. It also acts as a new game plus so literal...
2.3X's the GPU power of the standard ps4 and you expect 900p to be an acceptable resolution for that console??? Besides, the pro's bottleneck is its CPU, which is the same one used in the stock ps4, only its overclocked by 30%. If the developers can't hit 60fps in a game, it's most likely a CPU bound issue and no amount of resolution downgrade will help it get to 60fps
Okay and? What makes Nier such an amazing game is that it's an action rpg with an engaging story and polished character action style combat that you would never see in an action rpg and that amazing combat is all platinum games' work. If it wasn't for their brand of fluid gameplay and character control, Nier: Automata would not have had quite the same impact if it was just the story it could ride on.
Most likely will be basic, but decent enough if you never played the game or only played the 3ds version. Probably will be nothing more than a jump from native 720p to 1080p for the ps4 and Xbox one and then the ps4 pro will more than likely be native 4K unless Capcom gets really lazy and has no pro support for it or doesn't want to put in any extra effort and this last gen remaster of a 3ds game somehow runs below native 4K on the pro. Which when we have games like FIFA and NBA 2k17 hitt...
The Witcher 3 season pass was also $25 for 2 expansions. Roughly 10 hours for the first and significantly more. 25-40 hours for the second expansion. So that's roughly 40-50 hours for $25.
Tell me again how this $25 season pass is worth it if it's 10 hours for everything.
How many Zelda and Mario games have existed? How many franchises that are around now have had more than 3 installments? A lot. God of War 3 while called "3" was actually the 4th God of war game to release and many could argue that 3 is the best of the entire franchise, but I mean...whatever floats your boat.
Video games are great in the fact that they're interactive and there's so much that can be done with design and gameplay mechanics from game to game,

The only remaster of a first party Sony game that was just a resolution bump was God of war 3. The last of us and uncharted collection remasters were significant improvements over the original incarnations. God of War 3 was the only real lazy remaster of a Sony property
You're missing the point. The original FFX had a linear sphere grid system that started players off in specific areas and kind of funneled them toward a particular role during the progression system. The international release had a much more open sphere grid with more malleability for each character's progression. The remaster allowed you to choose the original sphere grid or the international version's sphere grid :)))
So I guarantee this zodiac age will have a...
But square Enix allowed the option in the FF10 remaster so I'm 100% sure they'll do it here....
Will it finally get localized now that there's a new version??? PLEASE :(
Having completed ending route A and started a bit of ending route B, I think Automata just might be one of the best action rpg's of this generation
Considering by the time PS3 support is dropped, the ps4 will have been out 3 years and 7 months, if they haven't upgraded to a ps4 or ps4 pro by now, that's on them.
And with the recent price drop of the standard ps4 with the slim to $300, I think anyone hardcore enough to play ff14 religiously and need to continue playing it will have had the funds to save up $300 or $400 over a course of nearly 4 years.
The game has a PC version. It's stupid not to have pro enhancements if they bothered to include a PC version which will at the very least have very minor visual enhancements over consoles even if it comes down to just resolution.
Higher resolutions do make a game look better, but it all depends on the quality of the game assets. Titanfall 2 for example runs at 1440p on pro and looks clean and fairly sharp, though I feel a fully native 4K would not have done much for the game considering it has absolutely awful textures and character models which would not see any benefit from a higher resolution.
Then there is Uncharted 4 which also runs at 1440p on pro and that game is definitely pushing tech in wa...
