I haven't played it yet. I will soon, but the general consensus seems to be that it's actually a very good game with one of the only few complaints being that it shares the prey name while having no relation to the original which hardcore fans were pissy about, but the quality of the title itself is pretty up there.
It won't, yet Bethesda confirmed a patch for the Xbox One X 🙄. Sounding a lot like the shady stuff NVIDIA does with its gamesworks exclusive features in PC games that AMD users don't get access to
The free dlc is automatically included with the update download. That's why the update is a whopping 23GB
You're the sucker for paying for a season pass for a triple-A shooter
I never played ratchet and clank on a standard ps4 so I don't know how it holds up on a 1080p display, but playing it on a 4K tv on a ps4 pro, that was the first time a stylized game has ever made me go "wow" consistently throughout the entire game.
I remember when ratchet and clank made its PS3 debut and reviews always said it looked like or came close to playing a Pixar film. Even in those days, those graphics never blew me away. I was like "this is wha...
I have 2TB and constantly find myself deciding what to delete to make space for new games. There are way too many good video games and different and varied experiences. Got to love video games and variety.
On a ps4 pro on a 4K tv, I'd argue even the real time in-game visuals come quite close to Pixar films.
No because I loved the lawbreakers beta and while I do prefer story driven single player experiences over multiplayer, I would not have wanted to wait an extra 4-6 years to get lawbreakers just for the studio to put out some single player game first. Beta was some of the most fun I've had in a multiplayer game in quite a long time. The movement feels so goddamn good and killing a single enemy or group of enemies while performing an elegant dance of utilizing the game's movement set an...
They didn't actually say that. It looks softer than you should expect for a ps2 game running on a ps4 pro. It should do native 4K no problem. In their text article, they said it is better than a 1080p presentation, but only slightly so.
The reason they're so negative on it is difference of expectation. If you're only a 1080p user on a base console, ff12's image clarity will blow you away.
If you are a pro user with a 4K tv, you have seen h...
It actually only runs natively at 1440p on the ps4 pro. A far cry from the native 4K you would expect for a ps2 game
I think it's just the fact that even though fighting games remain relevant in the competitive scene with tournaments, they are largely ignored by the mainstream casual consumer. The only real fighters that appeal to the mainstream consumer are netherrealm fighting games. Anything else this gen seems to sell modestly because fighting games in general aren't as popular as they once were to anyone but the hardcore that are part of the FGC or that aren't part of it, but enjoy watching...
Fighting games are the only genre I consider worthy of "esports" even though I think the name esports is stupid. Fighting games require the most of amount of time and dedication to truly be skilled and so when a player is good at a legit fighting game, I think that something worth having tournaments and prize pools for, but other genres like shooters? Come on. It's not that serious.
I love gaming. It's all I do in my feelings time, but there comes a point ...
It's a REMASTER, NOT a REMAKE of a goddamn ps2 game 2 whole console generations later. It is obviously not going to hold up to any modern day standards, but it's the best the game has ever looked regardless.
I don't know about that. I have a 50 inch 4K tv and I can very immediately identify at that screen size of a game is running native 4K or just 1440p. I'm not unhappy with 1440p as a resolution. I think it's fine and a noticeable bump from 1080p which after experiencing higher resolutions, 1080p honestly looks pretty soft now and to think it was so "sharp" to me just a few years ago.
Regardless, 1440p and 4K are a very noticeable difference. Maybe not o...
The idea that the game was unfinished is ridiculous. Every single game that had EVER released to the public has mechanics or levels or enemy types or ideas that did not make it to the final product.
That could be due to any number of reasons. Technical reasons; maybe it was not possible on the hardware as was the case with shadow of the colossus. Maybe it would take too much time and the team couldn't justify incorporating it. Maybe it didn't fit together cohesively...
Completely setting aside the score, the actual writing in the review is awful. It literally as though a 10 year old write it. Horrible and awkward phrasing/grouping together of words. Redundancy. Poor grammar. This is so poorly written. Why is writing such a lost art in game reviews
You realize the max PC settings are identical to the base console versions, right? Literally the ONLY visual enhancement the PC version has aside from resolution is shadow quality.
I currently own Titanfall 2 for ps4 and the pro version renders at 1440p which is fine, but if the one X version really is capable of internally rendering above 4K and then downsampling from that, then BOY. I am buying this again for Xbox
But PES 2017 was native 4K on ps4 pro...so why would PES 2018 even if it is more demanding not be native 4K on the one X? Maybe they've dramatically improved their engine and made several visual enhancements to the point that the pro can't do native 4K anymore, but the one X will most definitely be capable of it if last year's PES and FIFA were both native on ps4 pro.
There's always this wild concept called...ignoring the side content like oh I don't know, a normal gamer. I ignore side content in every single triple-A open world game I play. I only do enough to get bored and once I'm bored of side stuff, I never touch it again. Bam, nothing more to it. Return to the main story and only the main story. I basically only did the main story in Horizon Zero Dawn. I didn't give a crap about the side stuff because it was too much busy work and tim...
