I'm saying if Microsoft wants to remain competitive they will not price it higher than $500. We all know Microsoft is losing the sales race and pricing Scorpio too highly will only put them further behind. Microsoft has done some stupid stuff, but they're not that stupid

It's not hard. It's just time consuming. Anyone can do all of these. It's just a matter of playing the game enough

Maybe they'll decline on microsoft's front, but Sony and Nintendo will continue to deliver a good mix of single player narrative driven games and multiplayer games as long as they're around.

Can only imagine how much better it could have looked if it utilized unreal engine 4 properly as opposed to a customized unreal 3

They already have it running in the beta at a more stable framerate than the base ps4

Not sure, but it doesn't have pro support day 1. They said it will at a later date

Eh, it looks like standard implementation. It doesn't look especially "amazing". Just competent or good.

You're getting disagrees, but it really does perform poorly. The pro version which I played was technically disappointing. Image quality was identical to the base console with only a boost to performance, but still maintaining the 30fps cap. Unfortunately, the game has frame-pacing issues so it still doesn't feel as good as it should despite being almost a locked 30 on PS4 pro. That paired with the identical visuals to the base ps4 makes the pro implementation of Edith Finch one of th...

No because Homefront is a cry engine title and the pro version of that runs at 1440p along with more stable performance

Isn't that just parallax occlusion mapping, an effect not every game uses, but there are enough games that do that this shouldn't be so mind blowing. It looks like a pretty standard implementation of the effect.

Uncharted 4 also has very good facial animations and while Injustice's animations are also good, I feel the animators over-exaggerated certain things to make them more noticeable whereas Uncharted 4's facial animations go for straight realism and there are very subtle things in the animations that could go completely unnoticed by the typical consumer. Whereas in injustice, certain facial expressions and muscle movements are a little exaggerated, which is why you notice things like tha...

It doesn't have any....both Digital Foundry and NX Gamer, youtubers that specialize in hardware and software analysis have confirmed that there is 100% no pro enhancements in prey despite the box claiming it does.

As for the loading times argument you brought up, that doesn't bare any fruit because due to the stock drive used on a ps4 pro, playing older ps4 game that never got pro updates and having boost mode turned on will yield better loading times depending on the ...

Assassin's Creed 4 was well into development for PS3 and Xbox 360 before the devs ever got access to ps4 and Xbox one dev kits and yet AC 4 ended up coming to the launch of both ps4 and Xbox one...clearly it's just a case of switch being too underpowered to handle the game, which I saw coming miles away. Further into the gen we get, the higher the demands of games, especially triple-A games, will increase.

And with switch being as underpowered as it is 3 and a half...

But what about the advertised ps4 pro enhancements that don't actually exist within the game...would be nice if they, you know, did something about that

3253d ago 6 agree0 disagreeView comment

It's pretty obvious why. Disgaea 5 released mid-way through this generation. By then, ps4 had so many games, you can't expect many people to keep up and buy every single ps4 exclusive just because it's exclusive.

This new release, however, is one of the few major releases available on the switch and new owners of the switch will be hungry for any new game, buying games they otherwise wouldn't years into a console's lifecycle.

I know a...

@Jay

The context is like this. Do you ever insult your friends as a form of greeting them. I regularly trash games that aren't actually awful with my friends. If a game is just okay, I'll use that playful banter and jokingly refer to the game as trash all the time. I think FF15 is a mediocre game. Average. Nothing special. The movie, however, is complete garbage.

3257d ago 1 agree3 disagreeView comment

No it didn't. FF15 was not a very good game, but the film was trash. One of the worst movies I've seen in my life. I like to rag on about how bad FF15 is to my friends, but it actually isn't THAT bad. The film is far worse as a film than the game is as a game.

Bring it to ps4 with a pro update for native 4K. It's a vita game. It should manage 4k easily

People like you only encourage the medium to be incredibly narrow with very specific types of experiences because every single game needs to cater to your needs. The beauty of gaming is how different every game can be and I would never do anything to take that way. No one kind of experience is "better" or "worse". Different kinds of games exist for different reasons and we should be celebrating that because video games are amazing and we get to be a part of it and enjoy th...
