It's a home console that can be used as a handheld. During the switch livestream, Nintendo explicitly stated that the switch was designed as a home console first so I don't understand why people are debating this. The truth about what it is first and foremost is already out there
For all the casual gamers that love Mario and Zelda and eat up anything with Mario and Zelda attached to it, I think Nintendo is banking on the casual gamers to come in droves for their system just like the casuals came in droves for the Wii. Having a Zelda at launch and a 3D Mario later that same year is enough to draw in a decent amount of casual consumers.
There's nothing wrong with that? If I had the time to play 6+ hours a day, I would, but I don't. I work way too much to be able to afford all the games I want and when I get days off, you bet your ass I'm spending all day playing my damn games I worked for.
This guy gets dislikes, but he's not saying he won't buy it because it doesn't have trophy or achievement equivalents. There are a lot of achievement and trophy whores out there that sully the name of real gamers. I can not tell you how many posts I've come across on PlayStationtrophies.org in which people say they won't buy a game because it doesn't have an easy platinum or because it's platinum takes too long. I was browsing a forum not too long ago on that site ...
*sigh* you're uneducated so I'm just not going to bother. If a new console can't run a last gen port at 1080pc that DOES spell worrying signs for its horsepower, which will then domino and things will go downhill like the WiiU. For example, Xbox one is weaker than ps4 so not as many games hit 1080p on Xbox one as ps4, but every single remaster of a last gen game is 1080p on Xbox one.
If switch can't do 1080p for a last gen port, that spells trouble for the s...
It's bad news because the same thing that happened to WiiU will happen to switch when we already have a last gen port running at only 900p.
The WiiU was announced with a lot of games and third party support. Unfortunately, a lot of games got cancelled and publishers jumped ship. You know why? The WiiU was underpowered and because of the lack of power, developers/publishers didn't want to deal with it, which lead to less games for it which lead to less people buying ...
That's fine and all, but during the live stream, Nintendo definitely said the switch was designed as a home console first and if it's designed as a home console first, that means you look at it as a home console, which is underpowered compared to all the competition and will have less third party support and all those third party games that do exist on it will look and run better on the competition. It's not a very exciting prospect as a home console.
Yeah I have a pro and the only thing that would convince me to get a switch is at least a $50 price drop and ports if Bayonetta 1 and 2 along with finding out what exactly the new SMT is.
All these third party games are going to look and run so much better on my pro and with the anemic battery life that scales depending on how demanding the game is, you won't get much more than 3 hours out of games that actually push the hardware, making it practically useless as a hand...
You just named literally almost the entire show as bad and then say "but aside from that, it's awesome!!"
We did know this already. It's not new news.
Because I want physical copies of basically all my games. Currently own 47 physical ps4 games. I would say roughly 35-40% of those games are also on PC, but next to none of them have physical releases on PC so as long as PC continues to be a digital dominated market, I will continue to not care about that platform.
Heck, even the Duke Nukem 3D 20th anniversary release had a physical release only for consoles; a game that started on PC had a physical re-release exclusive to ...
Still censored?
All they'd have to do is increase the native rendering resolution. The amount of effort required to do that when it's a game already available on PC that allows for higher resolutions would be next to nothing....
Sorry, but did I play FF15 at a measly around 1280x720 resolution in this day and age??? Oh that's RIGHT!!! I played it at a completely static 3200x1800 without dynamic resolution scaling like your system
The instant I put in the last of us on ps4 pro, the native 4K resolution stood out. It was night and day. The difference between the 1080p standard ps4 version and the native 4K version blew me away so much that I played it through all the way again for like the 15th time because the difference between 1080p and 4k is that pronounced
@kreisen. The difference between 1440p and 4K is very noticeable. Differentiation resolutions only gets difficult for me once you get higher like 1800p to 4K. That's when I have trouble spotting differences without really looking, but 1440p to 4K is definitely noticeable
It's an action rpg, emphasis on the rpg, meaning the more hours put into it, the more skills will be learned, more weapons earned, etc...combat will significantly open up in the final game and I can guarantee that
I'll be getting both versions. Can't get enough traditional rpg's
Not what I mean because I like good games and the industry now does have issues, but the ratio of good games to bad now is way higher than say during the NES era for example. There are so many good games consistently releasing, but I know you're narrow minded as evidenced by your stance on handheld games and on action rpg's. I just like what's good. I don't care what kind of game it is or where it's played.
That's the difference between me and you :)...
This review reads like it was written by a middle schooler. All the awkward wording and redundancy. It made it incredibly difficult for me to focus
