I can't do digital unless it's a digital only game. Even then, I wait months until digital only games are on sale or they miraculously get a limited physical release through limited run games. The sense of ownership I have over my collection seeing it on my shelf with all the games in alphabetical order makes me proud to have spent money on all those games. Sometimes I pick up a case just to stare at the artwork or the fancy packaging if it's a special edition with extra stuff or ...
Even all these years later with the subpar voice acting and questionable writing at times, Heavy Rain remains one of the most compelling narrative experiences in gaming.
That makes zero sense. A graphics engine does not dictate how a game plays.
The game already targets 60fps. It just is unlocked and never operates at a locked 60. Usually in the 40's at least at launch.
It has pro support day 1 and from what I remember reading, the enhancements are pretty significant.
Ever heard of value and rarity? And supply and demand? It's why those ps2 games are selling for $50
The dead or alive comment doesn't belong since dead or alive 5 is the best dead or alive game. Last Round is the latest iteration released in 2014 and is the deepest DOA has ever been as a fighting game without abandoning the accessibility and fast paced nature that made the series popular to begin with. It can still be played as a mindless dumb game, but has the depth and mechanics for higher level players to learn and take advantage of.
Just buy it on ps4 then?
I own a 3ds and vita and due to the awful screen resolution, there are certain games that don't make much use of the dual screens that I wish came to vita instead. Guess what I did? Stopped bitching and just got them on 3ds
I bought it at full price and was so let down that I almost gave up hope on the franchise entirely. I got Berseria day 1 only because I had the money to blow that day and it is so much better
Berseria has some of the most bland characters of the franchise along with the horrid input delay. It's got a disgusting input delay of 3-5 frames across all versions of the game which when it's a 30fps game, makes it even more unresponsive. Ruined what could have been engaging combat. Berseria runs at 60fps and has no input delay to speak of whatsoever :)
Edit: The game also pulls that bs late in game where all of a sudden those optional memory fragments become ma...
I don't get all the disagrees. Zestiria is one of the worst entries in the series by far.
@Djustin
I was playing last night and got to that boss while my friend was watching through share play. On my first attempt, I used up all healing items I had and he had two hits left to go down. I had one left. By this point, I knew his pattern at this stage of the fight, but my friend doing his call outs threw me off and I got killed right before making contact. I ended up beating it on my second attempt, though.
Did you even read the article? It's not talking down on them at all. Even the author of the article said the game was too much for him.
Except that the option would defeat the purpose of a game like this that has so many mechanics you must come to grips with in order to overcome the game's tightly designed combat encounters. Just having an easier option that gets rid of all that makes a lot of the mechanics useless and dilutes the experience into being a basic action game because it's not like this game's combos are as extensive as character action games.
It would be like playing a hardcore rpg and ...
I've died a lot within hours and I honestly don't really understand the best opportunities for using each stance and I don't understand how best to use some of the weapon types. I'm not good at the game at all. Maybe I'll learn more and get better, but regardless of how much I suck at it, im loving it. Don't dismiss a game just because you're not good at it. Keep at it
Been playing it. Got it yesterday. Amazing
@jrshankhill
No it wasn't. I watch technical analysis videos all the time of games. The Xbox one version of FF 15 mostly sticks to 720p. And as for accepting the worse visuals versus the frame pacing, it's all a matter of the visual improvement compared to the performance lost.
Ff15 even on a ps4 pro running at 3200x1800 with checkerboard rendering looks softer than a standard 1080p game thanks to the aggressive as hell temporal AA square Enix ch...
Xbox version was actually 720p most of the time with the dynamic resolution scaling. That combined with the temporal AA which softens the image leads to such a blurry looking image at 720p that I'd take slight frame pacing issues over that.
I played the pro version in the high resolution mode as opposed to the lite mode. The softness of the image was so excessive.
The same problem unreal 3 had last gen.
That wouldn't necessarily work because due to the way checkerboard rendering works, when taking still shots or looking at a still scene pixels match 1:1 to a 3840x2160 pixel grid. So technically, calling them native 4K screenshots isn't exactly lying
