Half of these aren't even horror games or just straight up aren't scary like resident evil 4 in this day and age and until dawn and inside? Come on. Dying Light???? What kind of a list of horror games is this
Since you didn't read my comment, then you'll never understand. Whatever floats your boat. I don't contribute to conversations in which the other person makes no effort to fully understand both sides and just leaves valid points unread because of laziness.
But here's a thing, though, when you have highly detailed assets and effects work, better image quality due to higher resolutions brings out that detail.
Case in point. I played the last of us on PS3, ps4, and ps4 pro. The jump from PS3 to ps4 was noticeable because it went from 720p to 1080p, thought it was nothing to really wow you. Just a refined version of the existing game.
Then...the ps4 pro update came out and rendered at native 4K in the 30fps...
Um what
@MatrixxGT....for starters, a ps5 coming out in 2 or 3 years could be sold at $400-$450 with more power than the Scorpio because technology is ever changing and parts always going down in price as time goes on. Furthermore, the current generation consoles are bottlenecks quite considerably by their mobile grade CPU's despite having impressive gpu's in the ps4 pro and Xbox Scorpio.
A true next gen would see for one thing, a true CPU increase that isn't based on s...
It won't be too good to be true...you're acting as though Scorpio is a next gen console. It isn't. It's a current generation upgrade. A true next generation will see a monumental power increase over ps4 pro and Scorpio. Simple 2 times more power than Scorpio isn't enough to be deemed a next gen console. You need to have higher standards for what is truly considered a new generation.
Casual gamers. Simple as that. The kind of person that does not visit gaming sites for constant news updates on information about gaming because it's not that important to them is the kind of person to be swayed by a random cg trailer played in prior to every YouTube video
While I agree the game looked horrible and I bought a ps4 pro for better visuals, the fact that you couldn't play it just because it looked bad is really concerning.
Yes I do. I love gaming precisely because off all the forms of entertainment in existence, no other medium has the capacity and potential for delivering such wildly different experiences. Gaming is never stale to me because I open myself up to everything.
I love Life Is Strange for its characters and interactions. It is a narrative experience worth playing through. I also LOVE the Doom reboot for foregoing the contemporary shooter trend of tightly scripted scenarios with ex...
I'll play Tales From The Borderlands, but I luckily own the limited physical release of Abzu on ps4 so I guess it's really only one ps4 game for me this month. I'm grateful to own a physical copy of Abzu, though.
I own the original sega cd release, but either the disc or the sega cd itself was screwed because it would constantly freeze or there would be issues with video playback and I couldn't really play it.
It'll be nice to play it again on a modern console, but in physical form too. If it was digital only, I wouldn't bother giving it a second look, but a physical re-release of a game with this much history behind it? Hell yeah
Tekken 7 doesn't look impressive for a current generation exclusive titled using unreal engine 4. It looks like a spruced up last gen game. The underwhelming visuals are why I hope the game has Scorpio and ps4 pro enhancements, even if it's just a resolution boost because with how underwhelming it looks, honestly, anything helps.
Exactly. Foxtrot is always talking sh**. Constant complaining and trash talking of games, developers, publishers, etc...when 90% of the time, it's unwarranted and him just wanting to say something negative just for the sake of it. I don't understand how he is allowed to comment. A user like him should be banned. Even more aggravating than obvious trolls that are just far past the point of even bothering with.
The Darksiders remaster ran at 1620p on ps4 pro. The Cod 4 remaster is also 1620p on pro.
You don't even know the system requirements, though, and Bethesda, as a publisher and developer don't put out the most optimized PC games.
Remember the launch debacle of Dishonored 2 where a game developer stated in order to run low settings at 60 fps, you needed a gtx 1070??? The Evil Within was also optimized like garbage. Shoehorning dynamic lighting into the ID tech 5 engine which did not support dynamic lighting really killed the game's performance.
I feel like, realistically speaking, in order to hit truly photo-realistic visuals with a native 4K resolution is what you're really going to need when pushing photo-realistic visuals to get that detail across, it'll likely take a MINIMUM of 3 generations after the current generation
I disagree about the uncharted thing. While clearly pushing technological boundaries with amazing in game character models, Uncharted 4's visuals are still stylized. They're still shooting for that "stylized realism" as opposed to photo-realism. It just so happens that with the ps4's hardware, this is how they envisioned the character models. They're all still unmistably game models. And when you look at the environments too, it's obvious photo-realism wasn't...
I still think Uncharted 2 is the best and 1 is weakest, not counting Golden Abyss. 1 in 2007 had incredibly wonky aiming and shooting mechanics. The cover system was also not that great. Didn't feel that good. Was a little awkward. It was more mind blowing in 2007 because cover shooters were less common, but quickly became dated.
Especially when Gears of War 2 came out and refined its cover system far beyond the level of control you had in Uncharted 1. It felt incredibl...
Graphics can be the best part of a game, but it can still be a good game. I remember in 2007, playing the original Uncharted for the first time. That game's visuals were mind blowing back then. They were the number one thing I noticed and the thing that when I think back on the game, how amazing it looked for its time is always the first thing that jumps at me. It was still a good game, though. Even today, despite its age, it's still a good game. Just doesn't have the same impact ...
That's not what the game is a out. It's NOT about combat so stop trying to change a game just because maybe you don't like the direction. There is NOTHING wrong with horror games that have no combat and there is NOTHING wrong with horror games that do have combat. Different kinds of experiences. Both are equally valid.
