No. A score in the 70's is seen as good. Get this idea out of your head that a 7/10 is just okay. That would be 5/6 out of 10. A 7 is a GOOD game
Please tell me how many numbered FF games have film tie-ins and spin-offs? Oh right. None except 7 and 15. I guess you can count the DS sequel to 12 as a spin-off.
You have a game that was in development hell for 15 years and it has a film tie-in, anime tie-in, pre-order bonus smaller side story game, and a mobile game and you really expected the mobile game to be good? They're just trying to milk 15 like they milked 7.
Except that persona began as a spin off series that included Shim Megami Tensei as part of the official title. It only got dropped from the official title by the team we got persona 4 golden. As late as the original persona 4 release, SMT was still part of the persona title with persona being the subtitle.
@blacktar, if you haven't played this yet, you don't understand ho awful the framerate inconsistency is. I've played well over 200 ps4 games including demos, physical games I own, digital games I paid for, and of course the free ps plus games. I've never this entire gen stopped playing a game because of framerate, but this was an exception. I'm putting it off to play through Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Kiwami first in hopes that MAYBE it gets patched, but it probably won't. I ...
@blacktar. I'm not a framerate snob like some people. I don't care if a game is 30 fps as long as it is CONSISTENT AND HOLDS THAT LOCK, BUT all stars aims for 60 and on a second by second basis varies all over the place from 60 to 30 to various values in between and at times it even feels like it dips below 30 all within a span of minutes. It is extremely unpolished and certainly playable, but so bad that it impacts the enjoyment of the game. The framerate is SO GODDAMN INCONSISTENT
I have it. I immediately stopped playing after 2 missions because of the awful and sporadic framerate.
That would not work probably because ID are not known for story and world building. They're known for gunplay. Straight up gameplay and mechanics. Half Life is about more than gunplay. It is about work building and characters; something I don't think id software could do justice
According to my Amazon preorder, this isn't releasing until September 28th so is this just a case of the digital release coming before the physical or is something up
I disagree. I have no nostalgic attachment to classic FF games because I barely played the games. Most of my exposure is to the remasters and spin offs like crisis core. In total, I have played maybe less than 7 FF games and 2 of them actually are the first 2 anniversary psp releases, but I never beat them because I was a kid and got lost and had no patience to figure out what to do or where to go.
With that out of the way, I thought FF15 was a mediocre game. It had an awfu...
I definitely think Deus Ex qualifies as an rpg. It's not a traditional rpg, but its leveling and character progression and skill trees is integral to making several scenarios easier because you have the right ability to complete said task in way #1 of 4. Technically, Deus Ex is considered an "immersive sim", but that's not really a genre. If it were to fall under any traditional genre category, Deus Ex is more of an rpg than an action game or a stealth game.
Even if they're just cosmetics, microtransactions by their very nature are designed and tuned to tempt impatient people to outright buy these unlockables. The only way for that to happen is to slow down the rate at which you unlock things compared to a typical game without microtransactions. I can't tell you how many hours I've put into uncharted 4's multiplayer without spending a single penny and still how completely far away I am from unlocking everything. Even with the free...
@lawson
I'm sorry dude, but what in the hell are you trying to say. I got like half of it. Not sure if you were rushing to type or what you said is what you meant entirely in which case, I don't even know where to begin with you.
Some games are improved resolution. Some games are improved visual settings. Some games like battlefield 1 and Nier Automata are a mix of both improved resolution and improved visual settings so it's entirely up to how the developer chooses to utilize the pro's extra GPU resources, actually.
I've played it nonstop for 3 weeks so to each their own I guess. In fact, I'm playing it now
It's a shame the game launched in a world where mainstream blizzard exists as well as a post cliffy b being a douche world because lawbreakers is honestly a really good game. It's completely different from overwatch and it has the potential to maintain a small but dedicated community. It's just a shame how much was going against this game reaching the success it deserves purely for its quality as a multiplayer shooter.
ps2 assets aren't exactly going to hold up well at 4K. Not the same thing at all
No. Obviously some games are more demanding than others, but ps4 pro has a few native 4K 60fps games. Rez Infinite, Thumper, and Sonic Mania are the ones I can name off the top of my head. Of course those games require nowhere near the level of horsepower Forza 7 does, but as a response to the original question, no it is not the only native 4K 60fps console game.
Edit: got to love disagrees for stating facts. Classic N4G
Everyone criticizes every studio that announces a season pass prior to a game's release. Naughty Dog got so much flak that they abandoned the dlc altogether and their original plan of 2 multiplayer packs and 1 add on was scrapped in favor of free multiplayer content for everyone and expanding the originally smaller single player dlc into a larger standalone expansion
the RE 2 prototype on GBA was really really impressive
