Single player longevity and multiplayer longevity are 2 entirely different things my dude.

I realize that, but clearly if prioritizing framerate was REALLY a concern, they’d prioritize a 60 FPS target, the target in the other console versions and downgrade all visual settings necessary to reach that framerate. Otherwise, they’re not really sacrificing anything for framerate. It’s just a matter of the switch being such underpowered hardware in the year 2017

How does it sacrifice resolution for framerate when it’s half the frame rate of the other console versions....

If anything, it sacrifices framerate for visuals to be more comparable to the other versions.

This is a point I will continue to iterate time and time again. People find technology interesting. People enjoy seeing how a game looks across multiple platforms regardless of if they’ll ever play the game at all or even own the platform that has the best version. TECHNOLOGY IS INTERESTING TO PEOPLE. I don’t game on pc, but I still love seeing graphics comparisons of games across multiple platforms, including pc because seeing how the same game scales across multiple sets of hardware is genu...

The Xbox One X is not the next generation Xbox. It is a mid-gen upgrade like the PS4 pro. It is still a part of the current generation.

Funny you say that when BF 1 feels more like cod than the main series has ever felt. The “weighty” movement of BF 4 is gone in favor of much snappier and more immediate movement which in my opinion, when trying to capture the “intensity” of war isn’t really as effective.

Another huge minor thing I never notice anyone mention is the removal of excessive particle systems in firefights. In BF 4, if you had a firefight in a room, the room would be FILLED with debris and smoke ...

WW and TP being ported to switch wouldn’t be pointless because the WiiU was a “failure” it’s safe to say and the switch is definitely more popular. I guarantee many people that own a switch didn’t own a WiiU

Uh you missed What Remains of Edith Finch, which was the first game on the list before Horizon with the same 89 meta score.

I wouldn’t say you should not bother entirely. If you’re not bleeding for money and you have the $20 to spare, it’s not the worst way to spend that money as I said. Sure, it’s much more limited than Until Dawn with the lack of actual direct control of a character and it controls worse because of the playlink phone gimmick, but if you like games of this nature a lot, it’s worth still looking into. Just don’t expect anything that good. Not every single game in the world you experience has to be...

I was very negative on the experience, but that’s because this follows Until Dawn, a much better interactive experience than Hidden Agenda. With that said, as a single player game and for only $20, I still think people that REALLY like narrative driven games should give it a try.

It’s just not a game I’d go out and recommend to everyone like I would Until Dawn or Life Is Strange, but if you plan to play alone and you really really see the potential in interactive experience...

I’m glad the multiplayer got a resolution bump too because 900p is just nasty, but even just a bump from 900p to 1080p when your GPU is 2.3x’s more capable is nowhere near flexing the hardware’s capabilities when no other visual settings are enhanced.

3073d ago 1 agree4 disagreeView comment

It is, but they could have done more. Much more. If you’re not going to enhance any other settings, at LEAST render the game at 2880x1620. That would be twice the resolution of 1080p. Much closer to actually using the extra GPU power available instead of just a bump to 1440p. Look at the massive gains Horizon and Ratchet and Clank and tell me Uncharted 4’s pro upgrade isn’t lazy in comparison.

3073d ago 1 agree3 disagreeView comment

Okay, but 2.3x’s gpu grunt and you don’t even over 2x’s the resolution??? 1440p would have been understandable if other settings were enhanced like the shadows, which are the worst part of Uncharted 4’s presentation, but no all other visual settings are identical. Laziness

3073d ago 0 agree4 disagreeView comment

Any pro enhanced title runs better on the pro. That doesn’t change that 1440p and no other visual settings enhanced is a bare minimum that a lot of lazy pro upgrades like MGS 5 stick to. The only real weakness to the Uncharted 4 engine is the really pixelated dynamic shadows that look awful up close. They could have at the VERY least improved those shadows, but it’s just the ps4 game at 1440p. That is nowhere near making use of the ps4 pro hardware.

It’s nothing like say, ...

3073d ago 6 agree8 disagreeView comment

Uncharted 4 does not belong here. While it is still one of the best looking games of the generation. All the ps4 pro did was render the exact same visuals at 1440p with no enhancements. For a GPU that is 2.3x’s more powerful, to render only 77% more pixels and no other enhancements is FAR from utilizing the pro hardware effectively.

@Jack. Music is not an industry or medium I care about so I don’t give two shiiits if my music is digital. As for film, I own well over 115 blu-ray movies and that’s all old stuff. I haven’t actively been into film and collecting movies in 6-7 years because unlike most people I know, gaming is essentially my only medium. I only listen to music to have something while at the gym and I barely watch movies and never watch tv.

I only play games. And I only play games because I ...

But can I get my pc games physically? No? Then I think I’ll stick to console gaming. Thanks

It wasn’t nearly life like before, but it was a cut above other open world games and massive rpg’s. Comparing the facial animations to Uncharted 4, though, and it’s no contest.
