People clearly were eager enough to pay for these costumes if they were able to get away with releasing 7 $93 season passes for a game that originally launched in its vanilla state in 2012. They clearly wouldn’t have done multiple season passes if the preceding ones didn’t make them so much money.
The guy also mentioned the resolution mode will include improvements to rendering features, so with only a modest bump to 1440p, I hope they go all out with visual settings bumped as far as possible to max out the GPU. I’m growing tired of basic 1440p bumps on pro with no visual enhancement aside from that when there is GPU overhead left over
Horizon Zero Dawn’s narrative and writing is nowhere near the level of the 3 games I mentioned. I completed every nominee for best narrative except wolfenstein 2 so I won’t comment on that game, but all the others were much more accomplished narratives than Horizon which is the bottom of the pile as far as all the nominees are concerned
With contenders like Nier Automata, What Remains of Edith Finch, and Hellblade, Horizon had no shot at best narrative
Writing is the number one most important skill video game reviewers need to develop to avoid sounding like middle school drop-outs like this review does.
The reviewer's opinion doesn't matter. It's the fact that the writing is so abhorrent that I find it incredibly difficult to take any of it seriously.
It did. And the single player was generic and uninspired.
Uuuuh 2 is definitely the worst not counting the vita title not made by insomniac. 2 was a jump the shark moment for insomniac, following the trends of modern military mainstream shooters, losing the resistance identity in the process. Resistance 3 brought back that identity along with one of the most varied campaigns in the series
Versus 13 had the ability to switch characters on the fly as a basic feature since early days of development. You can clearly see this in one of the earliest gameplay demos from 2006 which shows a brief glimpse of a battle in a city with cerberus and the character switching to prompto on the fly and aiming at some barrel or something to cause an explosion by the beast.
Ever since the butchering of Versus 13, FF15 never intended to have multiple playable characters that you...
Oh so a basic feature that existed in FF Versus 13 day 1 before morphing into this casual garbage is finally coming a year after launch? Get out of here.
Did Blizzard write you a big old check to write this article? Oh, it’s from gameinformer. They’re shills. No wonder.
Shadow of War uses the highest grade textures the game has avaialable. Also, I don’t know if you realize this, but having textures that are too high quality, 1080p is a limited resolution and you’ll get to a point where you won’t notice a difference in texture quality unless the rendering resolution is increased.
Take Rise of The Tomb Raider for example. At 1080p, the difference between high and ultra textures are negligible. At 4K, the texture quality difference is massiv...
I don’t know how you don’t see much of a difference because I have a 55 inch fake hdr tv(not true hdr) and I see a HUGE difference. When the last of us got its pro upgrade, I played the entire game again in its 30fps mode because I was BLOWN away by how much better the game looked at a fully native 4K. Likewise, even when titles don’t achieve actual natives 4K and run at lower resolutions like 1620p or even 1440p, I see a noticeable bump. And my vision isn’t even the best. I wear glasses.
Still 720p for a lot of frostbite engine titles
Not always on the Xbox One X with many Xbox One X enhanced titles sporting higher grade texture work than the pro version on top of a higher resolution than the pro such as shadow of War
Well I for one was not expecting a native 4K and considering the CPU bottlenecks of all the current gen systems along with Hitman’s underlying systems relying heavily on AI, a cpu intensive task, I WAS CERTAINLY not expecting the same 1440p resolution as pro on top of enhanced level of detail settings while providing a very solid 60fps target for most of general run of play in its high framerate mode.
You mean significantly better graphics? 1440p vs a fully native 4K or the high framerate mode that is mostly 60fps running at the same 1440p resolution as ps4 pro along with enhanced level of detail on top of that?? This is one of the more significant upgrades over ps4 pro that currently exists.
Or do a proper remastered collection of both games leading up to 3’s release
