Does it still use batteries

Ever heard of improving assets and increasing the resolution beyond 720p??? Shocker. I know, right.

Me too. The standard ps4 could have handled the ps4 pro’s level of visuals and performance and then the pro could have gone further.

The ps2 being a cheap console with built in DVD player in a time when DVD players were expensive was ultimately what killed the Dreamcast

4k emulation, but video is only uploaded at 1440p....nice

I went with the 4K mode and I don’t know if it’s just me, but the single player seems to have softer image quality than the multiplayer. I honestly doubted my entire run through of the campaign that the game’s patch was working properly because it did not look like a native 4K presentation, but the multiplayer immediately looked sharper when I jumped on it after beating campaign.

Anyone that has ever played a Bayonetta game knows the franchise is pretty much the king of character action games

The One X patch was my first time playing Quantum Break and damn. It still is one of the best looking games of the generation.

Not to invite any flame war because I own both a ps4 pro and an Xbox One X and after the disappointment that was the Gears 4 campaign, I’m playing through Gears of War ultimate right now...but of course the majority of your purchases are third party because that’s mostly what Microsoft has. They have very few exclusives. Even if you wanted to include games across both pc and Xbox, this year alone has seen a substantially higher number of ps4 exclusives than anything Microsoft could muster. ...

Isn’t the game borderline broken on Xbox One? What makes them think porting to another weaker platform before it’s in a respectable state is a good idea?

I have played enhanced games. Gears of War 4. Dishonored 2. Fortnite. Quantum Break. All very good looking games

Uh of course the base systems couldn’t achieve 4K with a great cpu. Because resolution is almost entirely GPU bound, but look at it this way. Look at my gears of war 4 example. 1080p 30 on Xbox One. 4k 30 on the One X or 1080p 60 One the one X. If Sony and Microsoft didn’t go cheap with their cpu’s this gen, the mid-gen consoles wouldn’t have had to stick to essentially just overclocked versions of the same cpu, meaning gears 4 could have done 4k 60 instead of 4K 30.

You can be satisfied with it all you want. I’m satisfied with it, but that doesn’t change the fact that Sony and microsoft’s decision to go with mobile cpu’s At the start of the gen to cut down on costs has limited how much more impactful these mid-gen refresh consoles could have been. Games like Gears 4 for example with a competent cpu could have maintained its native 4K resolution and all the visual enhancements on top of targeting 60fps. Instead, it’s relegated to a seperate mode arc 1080p...

Battlefield 1 has ps4 pro support

Now you’re just arguing about something completely differently as you have been doing here and there. Okay, if you think bioshock is better than either prey or Deus Ex, you can argue that. They’re different kinds of experiences that do different things and you can absolutely say bioshock is better than either of those games. You can’t, however, say it is in an immersive sim because it is too limited and watered down to be one.

People can say that mass effect 2 is better th...

PREy is not automatically deeper because it is newer. The system shock games and old thief games and original Deus Ex are older and are WAY deeper than bioshock. Also every single one of those commandments I listed from warren Spector present in full capacity in both mankind divided and prey to a much greater extent than bioshock could ever hope for.

You read my article. You should know what I define an immersive sim as. Bioshock and PREY are not even in the same league in terms of freedom of expression for the player. Your examples of being able to kill an enemy in more than one way can be applied to literally almost every action game in existence. I can use this weapon or I can use that environmental hazard by them or I can run up and melee. That is NOT the extent of an immersive sim. You are completely ignoring the underlying core syst...

Dishonored could be considered one if you wanted to group it in there, but it's not quite as complex as Prey by the same studio so I really wanted to focus on that more. Also, I haven't played Dishonored 2 yet so I can't comment on that one. And Bioshock is a good game. I like it for its atmosphere and world building, but it is far from being an immersive sim. Bioshock isn't filled to the grim with Rapture being a huge interconnected city like Prey's space station. It'...

I was well aware of the game's issues and didn't play it on ps4 pro until after it was fixed. The framepacing issues the game introduced when adding pro support were fixed in one final update after and seeing as I didn't touch the game at all until after it was completely fixed, my experience has been perfectly smooth.
