Please, PLEEEAASE be true. But in the meantime, I wonder if 2K will take a stab at an NCAA football game considering the NCAA exclusivity license ends a year before the NFL exclusivity.

I don't know how old you are, but actually, IGN used to be quite reliable with their reviews back around the time when the site first launched (sometime around the Ocarina of Time days). But now I just rely on IGN mostly for news.

"There's no point in trying to destroy the pre-owned market, instead developers need to make games worth holding on to."

Truer words have never been spoken.

Good list.

I know I'm late to the party (just now seeing this article), but THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOOOOUUUUU. This was quickly becoming another one of those sites that I was about to write off for being severely flamebait ridden. Nice to know that, at least on paper, N4G is headed in the right direction. Sad that you have to filter the site for constructive and intelligent articles and discussions amongst the constant flamebait and console warring.

"The only regret I got with the Ps3 is that I bought it on launch date. At the beginning there were just a few games to keep my hunger since I am a hardcore player."

Why exactly did you regret getting a PS3 during its launch? You speak as if no other console released this gen (or any other gen for that matter) had a shabby selection of games during its launch period. Contrary to popular belief, my friend, that's not the case. I got a launch 60GB-turned-500GB a...

Decent list. My personal 5 would would probably boil down to...

Goldeneye 64
ESPN NFL 2K5
MGS1
GTA: SA
Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem

...with Eternal Darkness being the only one I don't physically own. An "honorable five" would go to Uncharted 2, Ninja Gaiden II: The Dark Sword of Chaos (NES), Perfect Dark 64, MGS3: Subsistence, and Super Mario World.

Seems to me that the "reviewer" has a thing against anything that requires a little patience and dexterity. I wasn't completely thrilled with the original H.A.W.X. game but found this demo to be fairly enjoyable. The enemy AI is a lot smarter that what I was accustomed to in the last Ace Combat game I played (AC5), and the refueling minigame was far more challenging, as opposed to the "just fly within proximity of the fuel plane and you automatically latch on" mechanic...

And why exactly do you feel it was "stolen anyway"??

This was actually a pretty good article detailing system preferences without the fanboy nonsense. I imagine because he's not slinging mud at any of the competing systems, the degree count won't be as high. I got a launch 60GB PS3 for practically the same reasons the author outlined, and is very safisfied with the purchase.

Two words...

Samurai Showdown

A mature themed game on PS3? I think it will sell as if it was an exclusive, meaning pretty well. Maybe not MGS4 numbers, but it will sell well nonetheless.

Same here. Lately I've been playing MGS3:Sub and Ace Combat 5 (got the urge upon hearing the announcent of the new AC game) on the 60 Gig - even though I still own a PS2 phatty.

I've always known that biasness exists in the media, but this is about as ridiculous as it gets. I was never a frequent visitor of Kotaku, but for the few times I did visit, I thought it was one of the more mature sites - particularly because I never witnessed much console warring going on within the community there. Having discovered this, my whole perception has changed about that site.

Like some have mentioned in earlier posts, DLC has ruined traditional accomplishments of in-game cheats. Well, that and pre-order incentives. Trophies/achievements are more-less a cover up for extending a game's otherwise nonexistent replay value. DLC for in-game rewards makes me appreciate developers like Naughty Dog more for actually rewarding the player for his efforts...and not for his wallet.

I would LOVE to see a remake of Shadow of the Empire. A great and underappreciated game during its time.

This article/survey needs to be a sticky, if ever there was one.

LOL. Sadly, you may be right.

It seems as if there's a committee of fanboys delegated to just finding any type of flamebait article against the competing console to approve. If they are indeed taking this survey seriously, then it's nice to see that N4G has finally taken necessary steps to bringing this site closer to a level of maturity.
