It's probably from an emulator, you can mess with the video settings and up the anti aliasing and shading to make it look a lot better.
Any one of the following could easily replace Halo: Quake, Unreal, Half Life, GoldenEye, Counter Strike, and/or TFC. But, Quake should be on that list, imo, it was the real start of the multiplayer FPS experience. Doom had multiplayer, but Quake made it more easily accessible to a wider player base.

Read the article it's exactly right, Plus is directed at people who rarely purchase stuff from the PSN. I'm one of those people, I've purchased maybe 5 games from PSN. There just aren't enough games that make me want to spend full price on them.
However, with PS+, I've played some great games that I never would have touched. I think of it like this; I spent $15 on FFXIII and spent 60 hours forcing myself to complete a very mediocre game. I spent $50 on PS+...
How about a timed exclusive release for Half Life: Episode 3 and Portal 2? I think we're all kind of expecting the exclusives from Uncharted, InFamous, and the like. To me, this sounds like news that we aren't expecting.

So, it would mean that it takes 40 minutes to install 6.4ishGB and then installs the rest of the 10GB while you play. Someone mentioned it may be decompressing files as it installs, I think that's really the best explanation for why it takes so long.

If you all didn't read it, you should know that the 40 minute install takes place while you're actually playing the game, according to the article. So, there's no need to wait after the initial 256MB install. I just wish I liked racing sims, I have 400GB free on my 500GB HDD. Eh, maybe I'll give this one a try, I haven't played GT since the first game.
Nintendo was the king of making games that'll have you breaking stuff in frustration. Blaster Master was another game I could never finish without save states. Great game, with some of the best music for an NES game, but hard as hell.
You're right, Ninja Gaiden really wasn't that bad, I could get to one of the last 2-3 levels right now and I haven't played that game in a few years.
TMNT was pretty brutal, I never completed it without savestates. I did get to a point where I could beat the dam level pretty easily. And in Battletoads, the first driving level isn't that bad once you get it down. The later levels are so much worse and require more precise timing. I love the game, but damn, it was way too hard.
I think the chances are that if someone is using a Jailbreak, they've stopped signing into the PSN already. If this is mainly targeted at online game hacks, I really hope they're able to find and ban anyone doing it. I can't stand cheaters in online games.

I was so disappointed by GTAIV, as well. I loved the previous three games, but IV just wasn't very good. I should mention I played it on the PC, which was such a horrible port. I barely had 30FPS at any resolution, on a GTX 260.
The marketing team sat around and said, "How can we get the word out about this game?" One guy says, "Lets have someone leak some images, we'll generate a lot of publicity that way, like GT5 and the iPhone." The marketing manager: "Genius!" Problem is, this game looks like something from the GBA days and nobodies heard anything about this company. Leaked info only works when people have an interest in what you're making.
The 5970 is still widely sold for $650+, just because you can find a single Sapphire 5970 for $499, doesn't mean the 5970 is now a $500 card. Once Newegg runs out of stock for that specific Sapphire card, or their deal ends, I'm guessing the price for it will go back up to $650+. Aside from that one deal at Newegg, the 580 costs far less than the 5970.
I regrettably bought an Xbox last gen instead of a PS2 and missed out on a LOT of great games. I was given a PS2 a couple years ago, but broke it while trying to do something I shouldn't have been doing. I was only able to play a couple games on it, FFX and Shadow of the Colossus. So, now all I have is a PS3 and now, I'll eventually get to play many of the better games that I missed out on.

Haha, that's something I would have loved to have seen come true; MGS4 on the 360. They would have had to ship that thing with 7+ DVD's. Anyone without an HDD would have been screwed.
