So it maybe another tech demo, or something from actual game footage. I doubt that it is an actual demo. I wouldn't mind them showing off the early stages of the game, character and map design, you know just developers talking about the game.
If you haven't played virtua fighter, it is very frame intensive and milliseconds count, espcially for counters. Lag in a technical fighter would be unplayable and more of just mashing buttons. So timing is everything and lag hinders that.

I'm a little excited. I hope this is all true, I can't wait for those demos, and did you notice that they might be setting up for dowloadable movies. I didn't expect it to happen this early, maybe late 2007 or early 2008. I hope this turns out to be true.
Phil said that the next big update, perhaps sometime in March, will allow you to do the very thing you're griping about. Again, this Ps3 has been recieving updates since its release to improve the system. Sony is aware of these things and I'm aware news like this is to let Sony know what we want.
They certainly have more resources to pull from with the music and movie industry. The ability to download HD movies will be huge, streaming would be awsome or perhaps save your movies to a server like on demand. This maybe the generation for blu-ray media, because by the end of the ps3 life cycle everything will be digital media. Personally I like have the box of the movie I bought displayed in my cabinet, but I guess thats just me.
Everyone should have already knew this, this has been Sony's strategy before the realease of the Playstation 3. They own music and movie companies, is this surprising?
I even remember a few instances were they mention downloading movies, this is part of the reason that any SATA hardrive will work. Because you're going to need the space.

I have the demo and I played the game a few times and thought it was crap until I realized there was automatic braking when going around turns and traction. There are a lot of automatic features, when I turned them off I felt more in control and a increase in difficulty. Its only been 4 months. This is the only thing I don't understand, Microsoft didn't hit its stride until a whole year after it launched so why can't we do the same for Sony? Right now the weakest point is the games and no available game demos. However, I have always believed these will be mute points after March during the European launch.

I believe the PS3 could access the memory faster because that is how it was designed. I just wonder how much Space that game would take up on your hardrive.
I don't believe they would be able to incorporate everything from the PC to the consoles, they would get a A++ if they do. Some elements of detail would be left out, more likely the less noticable.
That they would have two development teams, one for xbox and the other for PS3. Becasue that would be like a Port of another Port coming to the PS3. And really, and truly that the only way they are going to achieve what they are looking for on the PC.
I think this is a good thing because it encourages game companies to do better and not treat their consumers any kind of way.
I believe if he didn't break the End User Agreement he may have a legitimit case against Microsoft. However, I doubt that this would make it to the courts and Microsoft would just settle, but not for $5,000,000.

Microsoft already admitted to releasing "bricked" consoles at launch. I believe a month or two back they released a statement that if anyone bought a 360 before January 1st, 2006 they would be refunded for repairs to their system.

Is it saying that if your tv supports 720p it will now display in 1080i if you have it? I thought you could default it to 720p? You can still change the settings in the system menu right?
