I got to play through the first gears with my friend on his xbox. The game is one of the best co op games around. I like the simplicity of the game, the only downside the battles didn't feel too epic and there were no uber huge monsters to fight against. Gears would be a nice addition to my ps3 library. Hopefully if it is indeed brought to the ps3 they will take advantage of the blu ray disc and maybe add some bd live and a butt load of extra content and features.

I like the destructability, its more simulated than actually changing the acutal flow of the map. Stuff breaking apart as you shoot at someone is just awsome.
Queston, does it stay broken or does it do a respawn thing after so long, so you can break it again.
First you can quit the match while in the match. Second you can quick swap to your grenades so you don't have to bring up the menu. Third if you enter into a game, a box will pop up telling you the game is already in progress and asks if you would still like to enter.

The content was held back due to xbox storage limitations. I mean the guy did say it, they origninally had 5 or 6 wastelands planned but due to storage limitations they could only put one on each disc. They even said they wanted 3 discs but it wasn't cost efficient, so they have to squeeze the content into two discs. What part of the 1up article was wrong. It just makes sense. I hope they have a custom stystem where you can design your own marine and a cover system. You should be able to shoot, I know warhammer is all about hand to hand but come on. The game looks good I like the overkill that's a nice touch, many of these games fail because of a lack of variety I hope this isn't the case for this game. Hopefully this game won't be all about shoot stun,run, and kill in close combat.

I think what I enjoyed most about the video was the voice acting. The Game looks great, I've been told it plays great with weapons actually feeling like they have a weight to them. Everything looks great the only things that concern me is the enemy AI I really haven't seen anything that says they are going to be as smart as they say, I'm hoping that are just as competent as the Resistance AI, at least.
As far as online visuals go, I'm not sure if they used anything real cut...

This is what a demo should be, I only have a few complaints which I hope has already been adressed in the full retail game. First Targeting is not as easy as it should be especially when there are a lot of crates around, two why do the bodies and destroyed objects disapear its not like the consoles can't handle it. Third why does it take more than one swing to kill anything and it doesn't even cut them in half.

I have a launch ps3 and never had a problem, with hardware or software, maybe I'm just fortunate, the only thing that has been a problem was the 2.4 update. For some reason Call of Duty 4 lags when I use the mic. I using it wirelessly with about 45 % signal strength, plays fine until I connect the mic. Never had the issue before that particular update, but I'm assuming if I get a better signal everything will be fine, but that's something I hope they fix.
I wish developers would just have two completely different teams and just develop for each system. Don't hold back at all and make a game using the systems full hardware. If the system can do something the other system can't cut it for that system not both.
If the ps3 can't handle an intense scene without slow down and dropping frames, then cut that scene and keep on the 360. If they want more levels that will fit on a blu ray disc but not the 360 cut the levels from the 3...

If they had a live press confrence in Home, I think it was rumored a few months ago, its certainly possible. Or at least have a live feed in the Home Square.
I've said this before, 2.4 wasn't a problem. It did however freeze, I guess because I didn't let it settle, as soon as the install complete I jumped into a game. It froze when I tried to get into multiplayer games in cod4 and warhawk, but after I restarted the system everything worked fine. I could message while in a game of cod4 and anyother game I was playing.
Now I need for us to have music while we play games.
Has he got an advance copy of the finish product Home? I mean this is still a beta and from what I understand we are barely experiencing half the stuff that will be in the final product and we are mostly just stress testing.
And being in the beta since launch I can tell you that there has been a extreme feeling of community, the only thing I would say is lacking is content which is obviously being delivered as Home is preparing to go live
