The market doesn't change that fast, not within a year. There hasn't been a drastic change from the people who didn't have a hdtv and now. If it was so simple to be implemented then why not have it at the start? Even if only %1 of the population had HD tvs at the time. That's nearly 300,000 people with it.

but on a side note, there is a disk you can put in your ps2 to produce visiuals on the way to 1080p. You put in the disk, load it, then put in your ps2 game.
Seems like a last minute gamble on microsoft's part. They were the ones saying that Hd gaming wasn't important and no need to implemement it. They even said Sony would not have any 1080p games this year.

Its good to see pass your on hand, but I hope microsoft will have a better transition than they did with the xbox to the xbox 360. I believe currently they are not even supporting the xbox anymore and are slowly piecemealing the backwards compatibility. So I hope they have learned from their mistakes.

Honestly, this is ridiculous. Cartridges, cds, dvds, blu-ray or Hd-dvd. As each system progressed it needed more storage to cope with graphical and programing storage. As a gamer what difference does it make that it uses Dvd or blu-ray if the costs are the same? The difference for me is that there is potential for growth with the extra storage for blu-ray.

The xbox 360 launched earlier than it should have along with a weak line up. Those are 1st generation games, after another year of development they are finishing up its second generation of games. Gears is releasing a year after the official launch of the 360 so its second generation.

I run 3mb dsl, which works fine for online gaming(I play a lot of Socom). So its good that they are testing things like that. Insomiac should win developer of the year, they've produced a great AAA launch game, kept us informed and up to date. Kudos to them.

I believe you can find out missions through news and whatever. It can lead you to new objectives. Pretty slick, I must admit I didn't think too much about this game. Now that I've seen it in action I'm impressed with what I saw.
I have no doubt that the Wii will do well for Nintendo. Nintendo is good at what they do, I belive most people will purchase a next generation console and the wii.

Nope, not all are expensive. In fact there are some as low as $7. The thing with HDMI, that people should know, is that either the cable works or it doesn't. People will pay anything, it's $200 so it must be good. Monster is ripping people off, and so is Microsoft if they're charging $100.
Don't be fooled, the cheaper HDMI cables produce the same signal at the same quality.
