Sony doesn't need saving, they are right were they need to be. There are some things that need improvement; PSN Store could be updated more regularly with previews of upcoming games, and Sony's marketing campaign is kinda weak in the states.

They need at least 8 on 8, 6 on 6 ain't gonna cut it. 32 player should be possible without sacrificing too much, then again it may be one of those things that might lower the framerate.
I do feel that the 1st party developers are closer to the source. Maybe those 3rd party developers could get as close.
I belive Microsoft recently just updated their warranty and extended it to a year for broken 360s.
You're paying an extra $80 for things that should be no more than the current $399 premium. You're paying a lot of money for substandard parts. When the 360 launched I knew it was mistake just because it didn't include a lot of things it should have, hd-dvd being one. I thought at least it would be using the new 65nm chips but no it still uses the standard, it in the article he states that they are using outdated HDMI port, 1.2, not 1.3.

I wish the industry would do something about these hackers. All they do is ruin the game for other people, anyone every play Socom 2? The industry should start cracking down on these hacks and make them pay for this garbage.
Sites that host these type of things should be shut down and prosecuted to the full extent of the law and the owners of such programs should be prosecuted and punished accordingly.
One thing is for sure, even if the ps3 fails somehow, the cell processor has too many applications that will benefit a wide range of things; Medical, Military, Business, as well as personal use. I can hardly wait for the cell based computer that will eventually come out.
If this engine is what I think it is, then the ps3 is getting one heck of a deal. It seems they have managed to do a lot of things that cut down on CPU and Ram usage, good for the 360 and perfect for the ps3. The system seems geared for a lot of computations and the ps3 is a computational monster so I expect the ps3 version to be equal to a high end PC version.
With all these little tricks with the engine I would think that the game could handle 1080p without problems to resolu...

Its too early in the life cycle, its been five months. I think the ps3 is making excellent progress, every update seems to release more and more of the ps3s potential. Right now the only fustrating thing for me, and what Microsoft is more Geared to, is the first person shooter market. The pickings are very bare right now, but there is a butt load coming out by the 4th quarter. Resistance is an excellent game but a little too arcadie for me, because I like tactical shooters. I guess its the same reason, I don't trust Microsoft. This is just like the launch 360s being defective and being sold despite Microsoft knowing about it. Now their machine damages the disks they play, I may still get a 360 but it maybe in the machines 3rd generation when its defects have been cleared. Yeah and Sony's the bad guy.
what I like most about mk2 is the ability to do different finishers, babalities, friendship, pit, regular. The only good thing about the later additions where additional characters.
i've seen nearly every episode its a great piece of machinima, probably one of the best. Doesn't matter if its in HD, it still should be free don't need to be upscaled in my opinion.
Sorry, Lazy and cheap. I'm tired of getting games that are half assed ports and being charged for it. They are not obligated to make games for different systems, its their choice. So if they develop a great game for one system, then why should the other consumers be cheated for each additional copy of the game made for the other consoles? That being the case then they should be 1st party developers.

I agree with Keyser he basically said what I was going to point out. The comparison for the type of games that may need or may not need blu-ray, etc... Its true that Sony has a lot more resources to pull from than microsoft; music, movies, electronics. I think there is going to be some intersting things ahead in the playstation 3 life cycle with java script, movies,music, and games.

I think this is going to be hit or miss for Sony. Sony can't afford to have this AAA title fail. They have all the available know how and the support and talent to pull it off. I don't doubt this will be a great game, I do wonder if it will be a Halo 3 killer. Killzone 2 is going to have to offer some depth and not just be another FPS.

Every time there is a interview with the killzone staff its they keep talking about killzone liberation. What about Killzone 2? I could care less about the psp version or am I reading the same interview over and over again.
