I can't believe they gave it a lower score than the ps2 verson. The only gripe they had about the ps2 version was that it was too short.
The ps3 looks to offer more of the same but on a grander scale than the ps2, so it did leave me curious as to why it scored so low. I guess it was a different reviewer.
They refunded alot of the consumers money for fixing the 360, the ones that were purchased at launch. They did release defective units so they could be first to market and it makes sense in the short run, but they didn't take advantage of that lead and now its really costing them.

It seems a lot of garbabage is coming from them, what happened? I believe the franchise fell off shortly after the genesis(in football) and probably after the 2000 release of live for the ps2.

550 and 500 mghz things was a rumor started by micrsoft there has been nothing released about the chip. Gears of War could be done on the ps3 no one can argue that it can't, I mean Unreal 2007 is coming to the ps3 and is using the same engine and tech. The games look great with the exception of Gundam. Gundum didn't really look all the great to me, just like the other mech games. 2k games looked awsome, resistance was cool. Is it me or did the players for NBA 07 look horrible, that game looks like crap on any system.
Everything elese look great and I do believe the load times are actually faster than the ps2. Games were loading up under two minutes. I can wait to get my ps3 november 17th.

Considering when Kojima said that he would never port games to another console. His whole philosophy was that to truly make a great game you must focus on one platform, which I believe to be true.

Stop the debate over hd-dvd and blu-ray its pointless. Stop saying Sony is forcing blu-ray and its not needed. Extra storage is a good thing and Sony is a business like any coporation you take advantage of opportunity. Blu-ray is a product that can benefit the game industry as well as the movie industry, so you're getting a two for one deal.
These launch games are better than the xbox 360 and ps2, it offers a great variety for all gamers. Rpgs, racing, FPS, sports, etc......

When they talked about the game my understanding was that the Knights of the nine would be included in the game and xbox and the pc had to download. Picking up some extra bucks for something they could have did for free.

I thought everyone else knew that from watching and playing the game. There was nothing innovative and nothing new with the weapons. I think the setting and art of the game are fantastic but there is no depth to the story. However, I am glad that the gameplay has slowed the game down and its just not a run n' gun game. The 2nd person view works, and compatent AI is always good, and they should deffinately keep that designer around, he got skillzs.
