Ironic the man who mastered cutscenes before the rest of the industry is going away from them as gaming becomes more cinematic. Personally, I loved cutscenes in MGS games but I also love it when stories can be told DURING gameplay. I trust Hideo.
I think it comes down to japanese gamers and their tastes for games. The kind of games they're into aren't the super immersive worlds and twitch shooters that the rest of the world are into. The kind of games they're into are the kind of games readily available on 3ds and vita, systems they can take on the game with them. The reason the shift is becoming apparent only now is that used to, games on ps1/ps2 weren't possible on a handheld, but now that we see near-ps3 level quali...
"He also takes a look at his Top 3 games on the system."
THERE WERE MORE THAN 3 GAMES!?
Didn't they just have a YEAR for an opportunity?
Excellent comment would read again A++++++++++
I have both... and both hold their own well. Personal preferences aside, you really can't go wrong. I DO think xb1 needs a price drop, but that'll come.

SO READY
It's true! I was really stoked about that leaked footage until a fanboy told me he thought it looked downgraded. So now, obviously, I must move on and forget this title exists.

Just checked MP3 quality downgraded from original recordings... PREORDER CANCELED.
Hmm I dunno, I'll have to cross check with early footage to make sure a few particles weren't downgraded before I can determine If I can enjoy those gifs or not.
And I'd like to see something different than a steering wheel in a car. I mean it works flawlessly... I just feel like something with less control is how I'd like to steer my car, ya know? Just... because.
God, gamers are the worst.
lot of respect for those words. points for phil.
I'm sure this game will be awesome but dang.... 8 years is ridiculous. I mean... get it together and get on schedule. No game should take 8 years to develop. Seems like a HUGE waste of resources.
All it is are a bunch of 0s from haters and a bunch of 5s from people that love it. Let's just make it a thumbs up/thumbs down system.
.
Maybe because games are about 10,000 times more complex nowadays than they were?
@neoandrew it's not that easy. at all. PC devs don't really target a framerate because PC hardware is infinite. So basically they make a game and then add the option to throw on a 30fps lock on top of it.
A developer on console, in order to get their game running at 1080/60 has to make a lot of visual sacrifices because they ARE targeting a certain framerate. So if the game CAN run at 1080/60, why on earth would they allow the player to play at 30? What need would the...
Westernizing? Dude, games are putting almost TOO much emphasis on cinematics these days. The more gameplay to me, the better.
MGS 4 was awesome but only about 6 hours of ACTUAL gameplay. The rest was entirely cutscenes.
