NUH UH... okay yeah, you're right.
Exactly. Like you said, MGS4 minus the cutscenes is a super short game. MGSV may only be 2 hours for the core mission but that's 2 hours of solid gameplay, not 17 minutes gameplay and an hour and 43 minutes of cutscenes.
Was the campaign short? Yeah. Has that stopped me from putting over 10 hours into it? No... It all depends on what is fun to you and what that fun is worth. Some people can't look past the play time. Gone home took me an hour and 41 minutes to beat. It cost $20. I won't likely be playing it again as I found almost everything in the game there was to find.... in an HOUR AND FOURTY ONE MINUTES.
MGS V is $30 yet there's a hell of a lot more content than Gone Home, ye...
Great article
I think MS just stopped sending checks.
I thought the headline said Microsoft trademarks "Secret Sauce"
I'm actually perfectly content with new indie titles being the free PS+ game each month. Chances are if a retail title is worth anything at all, I'll play it long before it's free on +
that Phil Spencer is on a roll... saying all the right things. I hope it's not all smoke. But getting your ass handed to you has a way of humbling you. Look at sony after 2007-08.
I thought xbox fans were always saying sony fans wear tinfoil hats.
somehow people will still try to defend it's relevance I'm sure.
realplayer was so bad that not even in nostalgia can I look at it pleasantly.
what is possible and what is practical are two TOTALLY different things.
Spencer's def been making an effort to communicate more. Communication is always good.
I don't think its all about the setting... I think it's cause survival games just.. Make the best video games. They're the most involved and as the player you really feel task oriented and feel like your actions matter.
Took the words out of my mouth.
Regardless of his situation, a LOT of gamers, not all, are absolutely horrible. Maybe not in their real life, but perhaps due to psychological reasons, they're despicable on the internet. What devs need to understand ( I know this from my own horrible online behavior when I was a teen) is that they shouldn't take it seriously. It's mostly venting about things totally unrelated to whatever they're talking about with a game. The game is just the straw that broke the camels back....
I think developers need to keep things to themselves. Not because I don't like honesty, but because with the way the internet world works these days, the more you say, the more ammo you give gamers to **** on your product.
care to show proof of that?
sweet so you can see near console level graphics with about 1/8th the control. Fantastic.
Title sounds like a fanboy wrote it.
let's not get too carried away now... you knock on the game for having to still press X to look through the keyhole instead of crouching and leaning forward... Do you REALLY want to have to do that every time? I mean honestly... I still want these to be video games, where we press buttons and use controllers.
