The affordability will get better with time - no question. The question is really if people WANT to wear glasses to watch movies/TV. For us (gamers) and younger people, that's probably a "yes" if it is done properly. However, a lot of older people may have a problem with this (who account for a large percentage of purchases of tech). Add in the fact that you need glasses for everyone who wants to watch, and there might be a little problem catering to larger families and people w...
I want Babality/Fatality combos because nothing is better than killing babies!
J/K :)
That kinda sucks. I was hoping that Hulu would be included with the PSN+ Subscription.
It's not like you don't get enough content/value out of PSN+, but Hulu functionality would really sweeten the deal and maybe knock a few people off of the fence onto the subscriber side.
I don't care as long as I get me some Sneak King 2: Sons of the Whopper
I DLed the Earthworm Jim demo on 360, but I would actually rather play it on the PS3 because I like the DS3 for platformers a little better. Hope this rumor is true!
Mikeslemonade has had a long history of going out of his way to bash the 360 (and pretty much anything non-Sony) and is one of the more insidious PS3 fanboys on this site. No Way was pointing this out with his Lair comment.
Judging by your comment history, you are not much better than Mikes. But then again, that's just my personal opinion.
Am I entitled to it?
I understand what you're saying. My point was that there were a lot more games deserving of the update before KZ1
Honestly, there are much better choices for an HD treatment than Killzone 1. The problems with the game had nothing to do with the graphics (which were excellent at the time). The problem with Killzone 1 is that it was an average game (not bad, not good) with really nothing special about it. A new coat of paint isn't going to change that.
Valve is screwing with us big time this week
Sony's never been one for the grandstanding and huge surprises that Microsoft is known for. But that isn't necessarily a bad thing. They let people know what's going to be shown, then show it. It lets you see it more objectively than if you are shocked by a "huge announcement" live on TV or the internet.
Case in point: I marked out when they announced FFIII for the 360 and showed the trailer. It really shouldn't have mattered to me because I would...
LMAO @ you deeming the XBOX brand a failure.
It has sold well and continues to sell well, has many high quality games available for it, and is well liked by its owners. If that is the definition of a failure, then just about every console that most normal and sane people would consider a success is really a failure. Because you said so.
As an aside, James Bond is one of the most successful franchises in movie history. I seem to remember the last two being...
"wow, its like asking...is my 2010 alienware computer better than my 1995 mac. "
Kinda, but that's not the point.
Sure, the PS3 has better graphics and online, but are the games (in general) better? Is the experience better?
For me, the PS2 was the height of console gaming. It seemed like every week, a new amazing game was coming out and an experience different from what you were used to was ready to be had. I couldn't...
SOCOM:Confrontation had an insanely bad launch and took 6-8 months to finally be reasonably playable. That being said, the grenade physics are STILL garbage, the windows STILL can't be shot out of properly, there is not the sense of community that previous installments had, and I can't find any reason to play this over MAG or any other shooter that I have.
Plus, it's online-only. The online must work (and play well) if a game isn't going to have a single-pla...
They need to get Eddie Cibrian to play Drake. He is absolutely perfect for the role...

Just reading a lot of the comments here in this very thread shows you how fanboys hurt gamers and gaming in general. Nobody's actually commenting on the article in question - they're (once again) justifying their consoles of choice. Just about EVERYTHING on this site (and others) eventually deteriorates into a discussion (read: p*ssing contest) of which console is best, or pixel counting, or Anti-Aliasing, or sales in different regions other than the one you live or basically anything...
Definitely agree with you. When the two versions are identical, I go for the console with exclusive content. PS3 version it is.
Kinda sucks - the PS2 still sells a lot and sometimes rivals the current gen during off-months.
Agreed - people can complain (unfoundedly or not) about the validity of their sales data, but their reviews are always top notch.
I'm not a huge Halo fan (although I do like it), but I am a huge Bungie fan, in that they are always pushing to innovate and create awesome experiences for their fans and a sense of community for their products.
I hope that they can eclipse Halo for the good of gamers everywhere.
Agreed on the 360 not using SPUs or The Cell or anything else.
However, I'm pretty sure that if Sucker Punch made inFamous on the 360, they would have simply developed it differently to utilize the 360's strengths as opposed to those of the PS3.
As cool as the game is (I enjoyed it immensely) there's really nothing about inFamous (looking at the game itself rather than its design architecture) that couldn't be done on the 360.
