Higher capacity physical media, whether Blu-ray or something proprietary, is a must. Also, a better D-Pad would be nice.
I'd also like to see Facebook and Twitter integration into the in-game dashboard, maybe like a feed that you can turn on and off that will notify you when you have a post or comment much like achievements do now.
Finally, I want hard drives (or high-capacity flash memory) and network to come standard with every new XBOX. It was nice t...
I am so utterly confused. Wasn't this game released almost 3 years ago?
@LevelHead
COD and other shooters are different from other games, in that the hardcore fans of the games put a large amount of time into said DLC, where mission-based, single player DLC may be worth one or two playthroughs (exceptions, as always, apply). So the hardcore get their money's worth if they play the maps a lot.
I'm a staunch opponent of on-disc DLC. Similarly, while I understand that DLC development may be concurrent with the actual retail release, ...
Zipper tried the same thing with SOCOM 4, and we all know how that turned out.
Guitar Hero had like 8 releases in 2 years, where COD does one full game a year with regular DLC. The model couldn't be any more different.
The Medal of Honor reboot was the Modern Warfare copycat. And a crappy one at that.
EA and DICE should probably stop mentioning Call of Duty every five minutes if they want to avoid unfair comparisons though.
The original XBOX died after the 360 came out because Microsoft did not own the hardware inside of it. It did not make sense to continue to support it at that point and potentially lose market share.
Considering where Microsoft is now, they made the right decision from a business standpoint.
So does that mean that Halo is herpes, Killzone is gonorrhea, Battlefield is hepatitis, and Resistance is chlamydia?
Battlefield may have never been about graphics before, but it is now. That's the focus of what people talk about in re: the game.
I'm one on the SOCOM veterans who hate 4. It's not the maps - it's the game itself. It's kind of sad, but Slant 6 made a better SOCOM game than its original developers. In truth, Slant 6 made an actual SOCOM game and Zipper made something that isn't SOCOM.
New maps and weapons won't change that.
I honestly don't think that a Halo 2 remastering has the same impact of a Halo: CE remastering. Halo 2 had a good campaign, but it was short and ended abruptly. The real draw was the multiplayer, which had never been done before with so many options on consoles before. Beings that Halo: Reach's multiplayer engine is being used for the multiplayer portion of the CE remastering, it stands to reason that they would do the same with Halo 4's multiplayer engine and a potential Halo 2 r...
@WhiteLightning
"God of War collection is a HD remake"
Wrong. It's the original versions remastered in HD.
Edit: LMFAO @ whoever disagreed. It says so right on the front cover of the game itself!
Wow. VGChartz is now a reliable source?
o_O
What does Gears have to do with an inFamous review, as crappy and as poorly thought out a review as it is?
@dragon82
True, but MAG wasn't all that fun and didn't have staying power, as seen by the number of people online.
I watched the preview video - it's just another FPS that has heist settings. The graphics were also kinda crappy for 2011 honestly. Not on my radar unless something impressive is shown in the coming months.
I could imagine a constant tactical map on the controller that you could call airstrikes and mortars in on. That would rock.
I agree. I am not a motion controller fan, but Sony offers a lot more options for the Move, as they're integrating it into their core games and having Move-specific titles, where Microsoft's offerings are more of an either/or thing. Now they are doing it a bit more with future titles, but nowhere near as much as Sony has.
Honestly, it's the no-physical-controller thing. Kinect was meant to replace controllers, but in doing so it limits the types of games that can ...
Yeah, because games have neeeeeever had CG cutscenes before that were better looking than the actual gameplay.
Oh wait...
I don't understand why companies think that they lose money by used game buyers playing multiplayer. If a copy of the game is transferred, then the original owner CAN'T play it anymore or use its online. It's a 1:1 transfer.
I suppose that they have to track stats for another player, but really, does that cost 10-15 bucks a person? No.
This is double dipping at its finest, and no, I'm not speaking only of Sony. It's every company that is d...
