If all DLC was free, developers would have almost no incentive to produce it.

End of argument.

Drop MOH. It's time has come and gone. Maybe bring back Bad Company without the Battlefield branding or just try something new.

"Do gamers who only own an Xbox really think that the good marketing made up for lack of games?"

No. However marketing actually tells people who don't frequent gaming sites or hang out at Gamestop that a game is coming out. When Microsoft markets the hell out of their products, they sell accordingly. This has been Sony's Achilles Heel the entire generation. They have high quality exclusives for the most part, but they do not ...

Basically, people don't know what they're talking about but like to pretend that they do, so this term exists.

I could see the share functionality disabled or limited in cases of music. Music seems to be a sticking point in relicensing everything from old TV shows to even relatively newer games because it isn't considered part of the work. In some extreme cases, particular songs are replaced, which definitely changes the original feel of something.

Also related, YouTube and other sharing sites mute audio or limit accessibility to videos that contain copyrighted music, so there...

I love how people try to claim that COD is dying because BLOPS 2 has sold at a lower rate than MW3. It is still the highest selling game this and last year on PS3 and XBOX, and continues to dominate the LIVE and PSN activity charts. To say that COD won't have an impact on next gen is to live in denial.

SOCOM has been dead since 3. It was made to be a 8 on 8, no respawn, no attachments/perks/killstreaks/ B.S. game. If they simply revisited what made it great, the fans would come back. At least for a looksie.

Honestly, does anybody really care about Versus anymore? Seriously - history has taught that games with way too long development times are often disappointing, if not straight up bad. Too Human, Duke Nukem Forever, and even Gran Turismo 5 failed to produce a experience that justifies the obscene amount of time that it took between announcement and going on sale.

People are still basing their excitement on a six year old trailer that, when regarded alongside today's games,...

The funny thing is, Microsoft absolutely loves the fact that people don't like the rumors. They also love the fact that other people do. Because the only things that matters are:

1. Microsoft hasn't spent a dime on advertising, yet the next XBOX is being talked about just as much (if not more than) the PS4 or WiiU. Any publicity is good publicity when you haven't even officially confirmed the existence of your product yet.

2. If something really i...

Does the controller really need any "improvements" besides a better D-Pad? I don't want a touch screen, motion, etc on this.

I like it, as long as it doesn't end up being a method of controlling the end user. For example, such a system could allow system and title updates when you're at work or school, or performing system maintenance tasks to keep things running at a good level.

Also, think push notifications but oriented for console (as long as we have options to determine what notifications we get). You could even have virtual competitions, like keeping an eye on your number of kills in...

It's a "bad thing" because it has to do with Microsoft's next console. Surely you know how N4G works?

Totally disagree with the inclusion of Halo: ODST. It had one of the best (and most varied) campaigns of the series and actually tried something different that worked.

"I have stated this before on this site and it is in my record, psu is one of the most anti-Playstation sites around. They live for the click. This is not the only article where desperation has driven them to flamebait."

Have you finally lost your mind or are you trolling? The PSU in PSU.com stands for Playstation Universe and the site covers the Playstation brand almost exclusively. Are you trying to say that it's all an elaborate r...

I agree with you that the Metal Gear franchise is one of the best ever, but come on - the cutscenes got out of hand with MGS2 and have been steadily taking up more and more time in relation to actual gameplay.

"On a gaming console? Which main feature is, you know, gaming?"

I browse the web and use apps on my iPod Touch more than I listen to music on it. People use their phones for texting and Facebook more than they actually make phone calls. And I use my game consoles for movies, music, web browsing, TV, and other stuff besides games.

Just because something has a "main function" doesn't mean that the "secon...
