I agree that it doesn't look like a traditional FF, but it still looks awesome. I was convinced that it was never coming out before. Hopefully most of the trailer was gameplay and not cutscenes.
I agree - I bought XIII on PS3 for the lack of audio and video compression and the fact that it was all on one disc.
I also enjoyed it, but it was way too linear in the first half.
Honestly, all PS4 had going for it is the price point and lack of DRM. It was multiplat after multiplat and the few exclusives got little to no gameplay time. I was disappointed. Also, PS Plus to play online? Really? I understand the value of PS Plus, but the fact is that if you want to play online, you have to pay 50 bucks.
Sony could have shown so much more but all they seemed concerned with was upstaging Microsoft of price point and DRM. I could care less about the other ...
Did everybody miss the part where you have to be a PS Plus member to play multiplayer on PS4? I'm....shocked.
I wonder if people will start hating this game if it is indeed multiplatform like they did for XIII.
@ArronC07
Really? I play games for at least four hours a day, and have been a gamer for almost 30 years. I buy all of my games new unless I can only find them used. I have owned every home console with the exception on the WiiU since the PS1. I make video game machinima and post on forums when I find that I can add to the discussion. I love games and gaming.
If I'm the problem, I'd hate to see your solution.
Stop. You can go back up on your soap box about anti-consumerism all you want in a little bit, but let's enjoy the first games of the next generation for a little bit first.
@ExDexteraDomini
Completely agree with you. So far, the new restrictions only have obvious benefits for the publishers, with the exception of game sharing, which I'm still trying to figure out and digital availability from any console, which is pretty cool.
What I'm hoping for is possibly a lower price point for games. A 10 dollar decrease would be wonderful for gamers, and would help alleviate the strain that those who primarily buy used games would feel.
@DigitalRaptor
"Typical, not thinking about people other than yourself."
Wow. Really? You go on and on about consumer this and anti-consumer that and now you say that we should take other people into account when we choose which products to support? I thought that the primary aspect of a consumer was buying WHAT THEY WANT TO BUY?
This is something you will never understand because you and others just and like you think that your opi...
@Commandar_Shepard
I thought that a launch date has been not confirmed for PS4 yet.
For the love of all that is holy, will you people please stop using the word "draconian"??? First of all, 9 out of 10 are you are using it incorrectly. Second of all, I'm tired of seeing it come up. And finally, you're ruining a cool word by making it commonplace.
Just. Stop.
A true gamer plays games that interest him or her, regardless of console or method of delivery. Period. If true gamers didn't support DRM, they wouldn't buy games on PSN, Steam, WiiWare, or XBLA. I hope I don't have to tell you how many truly great games they would miss out on if that were the case.
@Conzul
No, that's a lien.
Way to bring all of that stuff up. Nobody had yet in this thread and it's really relative to the controller.
Sounds like MechWarrior or MechAssault if anything.
I think Blachek meant American-style games, not Made in America discs :|
"heavy influence on Kinect" are you words, not Microsoft's.
I wonder what a thread would look like without trolls. Still searching...
I watched a Let's Play video of this - looks like a blast with friends! Might have to check it out on PS4.
