Although I really can't be bothered to find it, i think in one of the interviews with ubisoft they said that the entire game would be set in the past but jsut some story references to the future.......I could be wrong though..........

Is she the PR person just because she happens to be hot? Other than that, other developers don't often use producers as the public face of the company, normally it would be the lead programmer or the company head themselves. Maybe she is the PR face of the english speaking wing of the comapany?

Anyway, the interview seems interesting enough.

With all the "target renders" and cut scene footage it is easy to remain skeptical that in-game will look or play anything as impressive as these screens suggest it might.

I think these screens are definately not game play footage but are the in-game engine.

Nice to see a really realistic answer to a question. It implies that there was no bust up between sony and rockstar where sony didn't cough up the cash which could have been previously envisioned. But instead an amicable agreement was arrived at where the ps3 just wasn't popular enough (yet) to support the game.

Motion sensing is a really good feature, (Why is nintendo basing their entire current gen on it?). I wont suggest any more uses than the ones we've heard (see deepbrowns post below).

All controller features are just there to add to the immersiveness of games. With rumble the uses are often obvious with motion sensing however it is more arbitrary. Its down to the developers on how you use it and if it works. On saying that though I think its likely that poor implementations wi...

I am not sure if I am stating the obvious here but hasn't this game been online for a while?

but I want to agree with deep brown. It is seriously taking the piss that we gget charged more for the console and yet get less for our money. How in anyway is that a good deal? One of the features of the PS3 is backwards compatibility, its something that you are paying for. Think of it like the blu-ray drive, this is also a feature and something you are paying for when you buy a PS3. So why should they take features out of the system and still charge the same price?

I also do...

but wouldn't it be nice if they didn't have to copy the xbox live service? This would be better for the PS3 because it means the user would get something they couldn't on the LIVE service. And if that something was something the user prefered then they would choose the PS3 over the XBOX. By copying the PS3 doesn't get that defrentiator and so may loose out, mainly due to the costs of each system.

just trying to see it from the "everyday user" persepective.

That this writer doesn't like mortorstorm as some other ign writers. Aside from the lag issue which is a shame and NEEDS to be fixed, the overall tone of the article is quite negative. I have read other ign articles which are a lot more upbeat about some of the aspects this writer criticises.

Still, everyone is entitled to their opinion......

I haven't read every post so please excuse me if I reiterate somebody else point but they will just use this 360 to promote cross platform games. Minor differences aside the games on each platform are essentially the same so they will just put, say, Marvel Alliance on it and say that you can now get this for the PS3.

Shame, exclusives would have been better, maybe Motorstorm would have better advertised the PS3?

By "commercials" I did mean Sony coughing up cash, which they didn't. This was probably a mistake on their part but I am sure the developer doesn't mind. They seem to be far more familiar with xbox developement which is understandable due to the dev kit familiarity for the PS3. But this is my point, I think bioshock developers are the same when it comes to PS3 developement, they aren't so fammiliar with it and so it makes more strategic sense to concentrate on the versions on the ga...

You are one of the few posters that gives comments which, although have a PS3 slant, are delivered in a non fanboy way and without having to be derogatory or berate other users.

Although I don't post much I think in forum speak I am a "lurker" I am sometimes interested what people have to say, but some more than others.

It's clear and balenced and offers arguments from both sides of the coin. In an ideal world this is how I'd picture every article to be......

I think this might make it on the PS3 eventually. This reminds me of the Assassyns creed "ps3 exclusive" which admittedly was to do with the commercials between Sony and Ubisoft but this eventually found its way onto the XBOX. I think this case is probably something similar except that developement is being PC and PC style developement focused but a port will probably appear for the PS3.

Is it me or does this actually look vastly superior to even Gears? Everything just looks crisper and more detailed. I kind of agree, there is a "fake" feel to these pictures. Although it would be amazing if they pulled it off.

Just because a game is released that targets a younger deomgraphic doesn't mean that the whole company's strategy for a console is also targetted the say way.

They are just trying to release games that account for a wide variety of tastes.

Simple.
