But does that translate more into it deserving a great score or a reflection of COD's performance this generation compared to how it so often wowed millions of players during the 7th gen? The new engine & improved gunplay are a great foundation but that doesn't translate to superb execution by default.
-"MP fun yes has issues at least there putting updates regularly just click bait"
Well, what does it say about today's expectations for MP where clear flaws are present for the finished 1.0 version but it's clickbait to write about said issues just b/c the devs are like "oh yeah...we'll get to those post-release." That doesn't mean anyone should outright disregard the good qualities, but at least being intensely critical of these obvious...
You know...as much as I hated NERO: Nothing Ever Remains Obscure (dev's first walking sim) I can't deny there's a strange pull towards this one. Instead of the mystical fairy tale aesthetic, they wanted to dive headfirst into steampunk and occupy itself in the same conversation as Bioshock 1 & 2. Gotta hand it to their audacity.
Best Game Title of 2020?
This has become a routine for me, but...a '4' from this site translates to: 2/5 means I didn't like the game. It's that simple and transparent.
No, it's the open-ended stealth mission towards the end (2nd to last, I believe). I didn't really care for the flare part, but then again Realism difficulty was really obnoxious on that part.
Sure, that one was effective too. But it's rather telling that the two core stealth missions are the ones which really clicked, but it's more flashy moments rarely registered in comparison.
I mean...it does have more technical faults but it's tough to ignore the fascinating philosophy underpinning certain characters like Kreia. She's the glue that holds the game together.
As someone who's just completed it, I'm at a loss as to what makes this one so compelling compared to what's come before. They're at the point of re-utilizing names, moments, and gameplay ideas which carry less of a punch due to series expectations--which can't really be helped at this point. I don't want to discount solid levels (such as "After Dark") but they're far fewer in number than OG MW.
@rain
Because of what's constantly being highlighted in these very discussions: connecting between PC and all prominent consoles. These journalists are harping on crossplay-compatible games played by thousands/millions and bringing up the odd man out b/c that's what Sony's been, whether you thought it was a big deal or not. Just saying "you know, journos, Sony had some examples of PC crossplay back when they had proprietary memory cards" is...informa...
Literally all of the full cross-play games range from "quite popular" to "global sensation" so I'm not following.
From the article: "Sony has recently joined the fun world of cross-play between consoles and PC..."
You know within the FIRST sentence what's being deliberated here: cross-play across all major 8th-gen platforms. Which is the entire point of delineating between full and partial cross-play, so I'm not following why that's a problem.
"Sony were doing it way before Microsoft since PS2 with PC."
You speak ...
"explain why they could take the time and make the effort to improve one version but not the other."
For starters, your phrasing is wrong. It's more appropriate to say "make the effort to improve one version but not the other [at launch]." This dev literally said they're looking into implementing afterwards. That's important to keep in mind. To answer your question: it simply comes down to time and resource management. If the Xbox One X ...
This narrative ought to die.
I mean...to each his own but I found the whole game to be rather lackluster. Pretty solid concepts & mechanics weighed down by bad pacing and annoying repetition.
They're pretty much on the money there, considering that translates to "below-average game."
Very excited for this one! :D
A lot of great games sneaking into this month.
Stop utilizing the special case of Lying Todd and pretending there weren't legitimate grievances to begin with, both in respect to their decision-making and laughable PR surrounding the topic. Now fans can't lie and pretend there wasn't SOME case--at the very least--to made for it.
"I know you don't trust me."
Pretty meta when you think about it.
Friendly reminder: those expansions would not exist without MS's financial backing and such DLC had never existed in the GTA space like it before.
"People complain about the multiplayer because all the changes..."
Except this doesn't quite apply here. The times competitive MP branched out with Ground War and Gunfight are complimented.
