"ME1 and 2 were both small sellers"
"...mediocre Uncharted numbers..."
Over 2 mil sales for one console ='s small; and between 3-5 ='s mediocre. WTF did I just read?
I'm not sure why I'd be surprised to see this as the top news article. lol
Agreed. It's funny to think I used to worry if ND would later ditch the silent protagonist route, since that was in the comedic rotation in the first one. They hit it out of the park with the voice of Jak imo.
Love the last minute of the vid. Although this seems kind of cruel, I kind of wished his videos were only on games he can be completely cynical about. Those seem to be funnier :P.
"...are always..."
Mario 64 would like a word with you.
Thank you :D.
The previews I saw were a bit more...scattered. I saw some presentations on the SMART tech and this amazing video on Brink's presentation and 'non in-game gameplay'. It took place on that shipping container/escort bot level (looking about as sharp as KZ2, I might add). Upon seeing how fluid the game looked, I decided to go on a media blackout for it (plus I was preoccupied with school in late '10 and work throughout most of '11).
Indeed. It's one thing to judge the game itself, but it's another thing entirely to make an asinine comment while staring into the crystal ball. Comments like that just detract the audience from the review.
Hope everyone enjoyed the review. Feel free to respond in the comment section and I'll be sure to go a bit more in depth with my opinion on the game overall.
It's amazing to see just how much different Brink turned out to be from the initial vids posted that was essentially 'target gameplay'. If you know which ones I'm talking about please feel free to post them (since I couldn't find them yet). It's unfortunate for me to say that I was deceiv...
Why would you choose Halo compared to Battlefield and Call of Duty? I encourage you to list out every single Halo game released, spin-off and Anniversary included, and compared that to those two franchises. Even CoD from last gen is nearly even with Halo.
It's not so much a just a "3 Game Rule" as it is the finality in the power of the number three. Beginning, middle, and end; Father, Son, Holy Spirit; A, B, C; even 1, 2, 3 in sequence is what's typically done. Although I can enjoy extensive series as well, no writer can deny that a triolgy is usually the perfect fit for a story.
Partial quote under KOTOR series:
"Even the second one, which was developed by Obsidian (awesome developers in their own rights) was a mind blowing game."
This editor deserves a cyber cookie :D.
@ Kingdom
Although a term like "un-skilled" can be kind of a dicey statement to make, I don't see any fault in saying that because it falls under the player's personal opinion of the game. Her personal K/D or W/L ratio shouldn't really affect the overall opinion.
Although I'd argue Gears 3 has the longest 'skill ladder' out of all the other games listed, I can see that chickgamer's MP-likes are more pre-planeed orien...

No matter how genuine the statement may be, any phrase regarding "congrats"(or another nice term) and "to 360 owners" is going to get a ton of disagrees.
Sigh...ahh Brink, the game you could've been.
-"I didn't read the part where the game is mentioned as an exclusive..."
Did you miss reading where the title specifically says "console exclusivity" as well?
-"Also...where's the only on xbox360 logo on the cover art?"
The Witcher 2's been available for PC since last year.
I get tired of these chants on n4g. We've had cases on both sides of non-MS published games staying 360/PC and we've had more that go the 360/PS3/PC route. We know a PS3 version was up in the air a few months ago. Could fanboys for once hold back speculative words like Jam's and WAIT for a confirmation?
I'm not asking for much.
Textures look much cleaner as well. It's really cool to see the difference when I thought AW on 360 was awesome for its time.
As much as I admire KOTOR II and a few other Obsidian titles, do you really think a Planescape sequel (or spiritual sequel) has much of a chance to go shouler-to-shoulder with what tons of 'older' PC fans consider THE greatest story to ever grace videogames? I'm not trying to sound like a pessimist, but just look at the "Why Morrowind is 100x better than Skyrim" and you can see why I doubt a sequel will hold up to expectations.
Personally, I say go wo...
Although I approved of the blog for reaching a certain 'quality' (imo), what purpose does it serve to replicate the antagonistic 'death to handhelds' news articles with your own hate towards Kinect and handheld titles? It sort of skews the overall message-and title-of your blog.
I'm excited about the "very low" shaders option since I play on my laptop. Now give me an option for my fps not to tank when I'm running around in claustrophobic caves!
