"Overall the game looks really good on both consoles."
And that's all that really matters. I wish the Head2Head comparisons lead to more talks about the developer's knowledge/talent between making both versions look so similar instead of the usual 'which one's the better multiplat' (as if the difference will wildly change your experience /s).
I'm not sure if that's just me though.
Merrian-Webster:

New and Old customers can be exploited in the same fashion since the exploitation comes from a technological feature (BC). The rest of my argument has probably been touched upon in my other posts on this thread.
-"I have an 80gb with backwards compatibility and I've used that to play exactly 1 game."
Like I said with the other poster, anecdotal evidence adds nothing to the discussion.
-"Backwards compatibility only benefits those few million that own the original game, it doesn't help the other 90%+ of console owners that don't."
The original games are still available throughout various websites like amazon or eb...
I'm Commander Shepard and this is my favorite blog in the galaxy. :D
Although I've essentially shelled myself from almost all of the important info. on the game, I'm glad to see some changes are coming.

-"would purchase an hd remake of any of the old ps2 socom games if the graphics were updated. It literally hurts my eyes trying to put myself back into those games."
There's not much difference in the HD collections. They look cleaner, but that's about it:

Unlike some other reviews, Clements admits to being a Twisted Metal fan. Considering how often I've been told "it's geared more towards the fans", the score seems justified. I can imagine reviewing a car combat game can be pretty diecy since there's not many others this gen.
Because we're not all ignorant of the term backwards compatibility. Just take a look at what you're saying and decide whether or not these tactics would've worked last generation. We can argue the possible semantics I envision the conversation going or we can call a spade a spade.
They're cash cows of console classics. In most cases, publishers look at the possible audience willing to purchase these collections and toss in "1080p and 3D" on the same code. I'm not the one to judge whether it's utimately a bad thing, but I find it impossible for anyone to deny that almost every HD revival is essentially milking new/old customers by delivering them with the same experience from a few years ago. The rare exceptions I've found thus far are Halo:...
"WHERE IS THE ORIGINALITY!!"
That should be aimed towards your trolling.
Does Activision pay by the hour or post for trolling articles related to EA?
I think it's worse to see poor criticisms of a review just because you disagree with it. Where do they state they're specifically comparing it to "the PS3"? They're comparing to the brightest qualities of the Uncharted series on the PS3.
They ask the question 'What happens when these qualities are limited or exspunged?'
In which they answer 'You still get a GOOD Uncharted game (by their standards), but one that's st...
Hopefully they've made Combat Sentinels more relevant to 50 fps, ops, and PVP.
To be fair, the subject matter in "American Nightmare" is a spin-off on one of Alan Wake's OTHER works (doesn't seem to be tied into the new book titled at the end of 'The Writer' DLC). It doesn't seem to veer off of AW's original style as much as you make it out to be imo.
I always found AW's "survival horror" (if you could call it that) to be more of fast-paced, fluid decisions, rather than hampering player movement with c...
Ahhh...thank you.
When he says "being hypocritical", is he stating that because he didn't give it a 9? If so, this generation's mindset is becoming scarier by the minute. An 8.5 for a respectable new entry in the series should garuntee this to be the first game for PSV purchasers.

Wel sade (kneon) :P
Not sure if your comment is serious. Did you pick up that it was a joke?
"There's a reason they were re-released in remastered form, because they're beloved fan-favorites. I don't think the intent is to sell a new generation, even though that may be one of the outlying results here."
This would be true IF a term like 'backwards compatability' didn't exist.
I personally find it at #4 out of the 5 Bungie Halo games. It's still an excellent game, but I'm more into the older style of MP where you have to know the map layout in order to get the weapon you want.
-"How many copies of these old games do you really think are out there available for people to buy? Maybe a few hundred thousand at most for the popular titles. That still leaves millions that can't play the game."
Who are these "millions" you speak of? Since we have no concrete numbers, it's pure speculation to say millions of those who have bought the HD collections have never dived into the series before.
-"Sure some o...
