While I can understand the aggravation, that seems to fall back on the typical "we'll hinder some users in order to make it 'fair' to everyone" viewpoint. Look at my first review (and blog), and then look at the first time I won a monthly prize on here. You'll see it was a year's difference-or more-since I actually won something on here. You can see from my first reviews that I grew into writing more quality reviews (I'm even tempted to go back and re-do s...

Bring it on, Stabby!

Despite being glad to see another side of the argument, I'm not sure if I can agree with certain examples given. I believe 'Blade Runner Director's Cut' was essentially the "unabridged" version of the title, which doesn't have parts cut out by the movie execs of that time. On the other hand, Bioware has given us no inclination that their additions to the ending were cut by EA, but instead something entirely new.

Just my 2 cents :).

Thank you for replying.

Question: Will giving other users + or - bubbles affect their overall tally? I imagine comments that have been hidden won't count, but I'm just curious if +'s play into account.

This is a review for flower, not Journey.

Could've fooled me, with a username like that.

The **** did I just read? So now control over your own creative vision deserves to be hampered if your fans deem it to not live up to certain expectations? Wasn't their untouched vision initially what made us fans in the first place?

I'd be surprised to see one tbh. We'll probably see a cutscene/gameplay mixture vid though :D.

I must buy this game asap! I found a message in my coffee recommending it :P.

I agree. The only gameplay complaint I had was substituting functionality for army size. Then again, it was essentially the first console RTS to feel completely functional so...worthy trade-off I suppose.

I'm glad I read this. Before, I never had any desire to pick up on the series. After reading the blog and posts, it seems like one will either love it or hate it, which calls for me to at least try one out when I have the time.

As unpolished as the game may seem, it's brave to say anything 'Star Wars' will not sell.

1.) "Where am I getting 2 years? Logic.

Their last game: Max Payne 2 (2003)
Alan Wake reveal: E3 2005 (2005)"

*Insert obligatory game release timeline to act as if I know something about game development*. We have no idea what went on behind closed doors throughout the development of the title except what the developers show us in vids or tell us in interviews. Your "logic" seems awfully flawed.

@Games4M - Rob

- The problem with using Deus Ex is that's a different setting entirely. Any sci-fi game, whether it be cyber-punk, space opera, etc., LENDS itself to the idea of self discovery through means of making different choices. You were implored to advance because of the decisions you would make through different dialogue options, like any other RPG. Suspense-related material-across all mediums-heavily relies the moment-to-moment events to thrill the viewer. <...

When did an eight-point-seven become a bad score?

5194d ago 3 agree1 disagreeView comment

Where are you getting two years from?

Remedy's Oskari Hakkinen: 'The basic vision has stayed the same. When we announced Alan Wake, we announced it as an open world game, and that was a mistake. We're not even shy to say it. Remedy is a humble group of people and we will say it was a mistake. It was a tick-box back then, that was a trend. "Open-world," "free-roaming" and "sandbox" was the way to go. We tried that for about six months,...

It's sad, but true. I personally thought IGN reviewer gave enough justifiable reasons for Twisted Metal's score (just look at the article), but the concept remains the same: be the first to applaud IGN for giving a 9+ to any PS3 exclusive and you'll get around a 10-1 agree/disagree ratio.

Then what game can we use to judge the concept? The only one I've played closely resembling that is American Nightmare's hub setup (that's why I made the blog), which even then has to be infused with pulp and goofy antics:

They weren't manipulating the weather constantly, they wanted you to fight off hordes of Taken with auto shotguns and assault rifles conveniently lying in manuscript lockboxes, and more.

Edit in first reply: I meant to say 'videogame story/narrative/etc. depth'.
