I essentially bought this the instant it was put on XBLA (although haven't come around to playing it yet lol). I hope the ratio isn't too even concerning Fish's great game and his deplorable comments. I'm sure there's dozens of artists who go against some of my religious beliefs/political stances/etc., yet I've still supported b/c of the "art" + for the sake of my own gratification (not often the latter though :P).
Enjoyable read btw.
That could easily be implied as the fight against the Flood...which was finished.
Thank you! I might be pessimistic in how they're tone is going to be COD-ified, but I still have to give the benefit of the doubt to the developers to create something interesting (regardless of how little interest I have in the game atm).
- Dynamic weather effects and now new goodies are fun to use.
- Raven Down....are you kidding me? Explain to me who thought remaking the smallest map from Gears 1 would be a good idea. Remember: Gears 1 was only 4 v 4 back then and was considered a cluster****.
" (Aside from my mom of course.) "
That's...sweet. *grumbles back masculinity* :P
Not dead, just in need of a MAJOR overhaul to actually hang with the competition.
I suppose there's a lot of growing up to do in the community as well.
The article is asking about taking inspiration from books, while not becoming dependent upon them. Listing two random games (one of them following the same "save the princess" trope since the 80's) doesn't make this idea seem like a bad one. When even dozens of titles are nominated for "best story" each year, yet are still subpar compared to short stories you read in high school, it's easy to see that the gaming industry COULD use a boost in this department I...
I'll be sure to check this out in the future :). This could very well be my first F2P FPS.
I don't think "is the hate deserved?" would be the correct title for this, now that I think about it. I don't think anyone specifically hates the game itself, but rather that nagging feeling of business practices undermining the experience-from the ending to certain online aspects.
The rancor section was funny.
"Drake and Elena are one of the best couples in video games. . ."
This only makes the "lack of romance" only more resoundingly true for videogames.
^
Never knew it was that much. Bioware's probably skewing the term "successful" to mean something else then.
What other MMO has had the success SWTOR has had in its first 3-4 months?
(Reports indicate it's already in the 1.5 mil area)
This installment will have the developer Danger Close focusing on both aspects. Whether that's for the better or not remains to be seen.
DICE handled the MP in the recent reboot, but you could tell they were burdened with so many other tasks. They've had a heck of a workload since Bad Company 2.
...except for that one everyone wants to forget about :P
Edit: And I'm not talking about Super Bombad Racing
How is this comment even relevant to the topic being discussed?
This is right below the overall score:
"(out of 10 / not an average)"
It's funny that you'd make this blog only a few days after I nerdraged over a few Gears 1 matches for those specific reasons. I suppose the problem I have with online competition is the lack of meeting/shaking hands with your opponent like you would in real life. When you fail to break that barrier, it's also harder for you to realize that the enemy team is more than just pixelated characters.
-Enjoyable read with solid complaints
I honestly don't see your point. You're basically splitting hairs over the cost of a premium theme. I'm pretty sure all premium themes are three dollars anyway (barring Gold deals).
