Thanks, Nate and emilio above.
From the looks of it, might be a nice grab. I'll admit one aspect of gameplay that may be outright ignored by you and others is the arbitrariness/pacing part I was discussing since--naturally--it's a puzzle game therefore expect puzzles all the time. It just felt so...strange to be asking myself 'Why?' during the beginning most of middle since there was practically nothing to shed light on X or Y puzzle's impact in the gran...

What lovely writing.

I and many others who watched this video probably caught the negative remarks he made against it. They're as clear as day:
+Likes First-Person Abstergo addition
+Great Scenes
+Fun Combat
+etc.
-Has a few complaints that have been made in PREVIOUS AC games.
-Other minor annoyances with the character not jumping to the spot he wanted

Still my favorite in the series.
Even if you've already decided to get the game, you need to try out the demo first. It's simply hilarious.
I'm already two minutes into the review and I noticed him state the slog of early missions keeps the player away from the fun stuff he goes on and on about.
Edit: Yeah, and he mentioned a couple of AC's old annoyances seem to be here to some capacity (stalking someone for a long time and getting exposition dump).
Thanks, Rav.
Come to think of it, I believe you were one of the first on here (that I saw) bring up the Japanese angle before.
Absolutely, violence deserves greater attention, which it's received throughout most of video games' lifetime. Although discussions on sexism have catapulted over various things much more often in recent years, one of the first big moments in video game discussion from those outside and inside the industry came in the form of Mortal Kombat back in '93. Those discussions always had some risk of censorship accompanying them in the US, until Brown vs. EMA in 2010 essentially clos...
You find the entirety of a legitimate basis of debate and possible points/counter-points to be raised as completely absurd?
Just because it's fantasy doesn't mean these fictional works exist completely disconnected from the society and circumstances surrounding them. I figured the best way to approach this sexism subject matter is by acknowledging its existence and exploring it in an intellectually honest way.
The carping about Peach and Zelda has certainly worn thin to me (which is what I'm playing at in that quoted part), but I certainly don't mind the idea of examining the DiD trope in other various examples or question it's trend, so long as it feels like a discussion instead of an attack.
In a world where all gaming issues are 1st-world problems to begin with, I don't see why something that could act as harmless as any other subject to discuss couldn't be d...
This old bean is back at misplacing these reviews again. :P
Really hope everyone enjoyed reading though. Even though these reviews aren't meant to get a score, I'll certainly say go so far as to say it earns a *Certified FresH* badge from me. For those uninitiated in my reviews: that just means there's a confidence that the vast majority will find it to be money well spent and my highest encouragement I give for everyone to try it out, in some capacity. Get th...
I'd love to try this out in the near future.
Hope everyone enjoyed this dead horse that's been beaten to a pulp months ago. :P
Yes, yes, yes, I can understand some annoyance in this being cropped up again--almost as if it's treated like a 'X number of days since last accident' chart--but I just felt very excited to take a shot as well. In any case, feel free to leave a comment.
Have they been canceled altogether? O_o
Wanted to get my hands on Jet Set Radio's HD release, but I've already played that and Crazy Taxi before.
It's not so much I dislike prequels in general, just that it's a very tough thing to execute and most developers can't figure out a way of how it'll work in both the story + gameplay.
Surprised they didn't mention the 'Death of the Force' as one of the categories.
@Hammad
The very idea of someone having the "audacity" to consistently form an opinion backed up in some basis of reason, regardless of how disagreeable it is, that runs in the opposite direction from most critics should never be considered a problem.
@vall
Although I follow closely to that realm of reasoning when reviewing games (ie giving scores accommodating the technical/artistic pros and cons I may find and trying to frame a specific number to a complex opinion), I don't see why we should prescribe every other reviewer to follow that same path.
It's rather funny for me to see after all of TLOU's 9.9's or 9.8's and stated annoyances by other posters wanting simpler grading systems w...
The fight for gender equality is still ongoing, it's just more focused on addressing it in society moreso than pushing any new laws through.
