Shame to see Call of Duty 3 so low. The campaign was certainly a few rungs down from 2, but I was hooked to that MP: went with a simplistic BF style with vehicles + classes, some pretty smart map designs that accommodated the variety of modes, War mp mode, and boost in max players in regards to consoles (that even later iterations haven't matched). Just a lot of goofy fun.
I think you should do just the opposite when I'm submitting their pieces. :P
My condolences for your friend's family, you, and everyone else affected by this. Shame to see someone die just because of making the decision to act like a decent human being.
Awww shucks. :'(
Edit: I'll give an agree to even it out because Angry Joe's review is pretty darn meticulous for this game.
I'm still pissed at what they did with the co-op/competitive MP stuff, but by George that campaign was so structurally sound.
Yeah, but would've been great if it were Halo 4 GOTY.
Hmmm...I keep seeing this bumped up to the top of the site's approved news submissions. I'm gonna have to get the mods to check out this suspicious activity. [o_o]~
I'm just a sick, sick fella, I guess. >:)
Just having the opportunity to eviscerate such a game can be a nice way to unwind when it's of this caliber.
"I hope that this abomination would end as soon as possible."
Ya kidding? I still got the 1 Percenter Difficulty to try out. http://stream1.gifsoup.com/...
I'm thankful for all the n4g users here that are just as quick to comment in my blogs as they are in your own, Cat...and that LostDjinn will soon be vanquished. [o_o]~
Okay, enough teasing. I'm berry thankful for new friends I've made/reunited with this year, my family, the amount of food I'm going to chow on to assure I keep feeling fat and sassy, the good amount of work that's come in recently, the opportunity to help mod here, no financial burdens afte...
Now this was an episode I can agree with. After playing Proteus and seeing the discussions online about it, it's amazing to see the arbitrary goalpost-moving we make when it comes to the definition of a "game."
Exactly right. I still recall grabbing Warfighter on the cheap so soon after its release and then seeing all the articles online about Danger Close fixing this or that (even some achievements are glitchy for pete's sake).
Even though there's certainly a lot of cases of straight-up broken titles during the 1st gen and since then, I don't think you'll find a more apocalyptically bad game that's THIS functional. On the bright side, stuff like the sex scenes spread throughout will instantly cause you to have a shower routine akin to being scrubbed down of radiation from a Hazmat type of team like in Dr. No.
Ha! I know, I know. Would've like to have waited for the 0.0 score o...
Haha...I would say the average score here + on metacritic had my morbid curiosity of the game at first, but then it had my full attention after Yahtzee's review.
Hope everyone enjoyed the review. Feel free to leave any comments or questions. There's a few things I need to cover:
-I honestly didn't know the scoring system here doesn't allow you to post anything less than a 1.0, aside from the online, when I was typing this up. Certain categories above would be less and the overall score would be a 0.0 if I could do that. Which is why I mentioned the zero score part in the conclusion. I might be able to change that scor...
Since it's only been advertised as a PC game (even one of their trailer specifically states this), what reason would console only players have in investing so much money into this?
Although I was glued to Homefront's story much more, I don't really think that had to do with quality. I mean...it's so stupid to anticipate North Korea just getting all this property because reasons and amassing such an army; however, it's in Mulius (and whatever other writers) having such a seemingly legit conviction in making such an absurd idea believable that gives it such a charm.
After a while, those newspaper clippings by 'Muliusadomus' became...
Ehhh...I find both of them to be close in quality with Ghosts being a tad better, but that's not exactly saying a whole lot.
It's rather funny that the Star Wars Holiday Special came to my mind just while cleaning this one up too. What timing to remember that! XD
Anyways, feel free to leave any comments. I'd like to give a quick shout-out to smashcrashbash for being one of the igniters for me to revisit this topic with a different approach.
Hope everyone has a good Thanksgiving (for those who're celebrating it). 4589d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment
That just sounds ridiculous. I mean sure, the "does it meet the hype?" idea works as some kind of a lead-in to the glut of a review, but to demand someone assessing the final quality of the game to also examine how it was marketed is a stupid expectation.
There's no point in me carping about something irrelevant parts in KZ2's tech demo not matching up with the final game when it was the best looking console game upon release or complaining about Don La F...
lol yeah it's funny for me to think about the "generous score" comment and to now see I'm (currently) stuck with giving it the same one. XD
I'm definitely expecting a glut of reviewers to hand Ride to Hell a worst game of this gen award as well. I already predict it as the Jimquisition's numero uno worst of 2013.
Now, it's your turn to play it. >:D
