It's definitely not decorum to focus solely on something unrelated to the main basis of the blog, but I suppose I'm now obligated to address it--given that whining about restrictions in blogs seems to be a "thing" now.
-Funny thing about receiving comment restrictions on here: they tend to increase in severity as you get flagged for directly insulting members more and more.

Last I heard, each of these is costing $9.99 each (Story 1 + 2) on marketplace (correct me if I'm wrong). I can understand players being frustrated at that. Heck, Alan Wake's DLC's had around the same runtime and only cost $6.99 for each of the pair; but even then, The Signal (part 1 of 2) came free with every new copy of AW.
*Sigh*
Leave it to the games that did fair pricing in DLC's, and even LE's, to not sell billions of copies.
-That's kind of taking it out of context. He reneged on that to state gamers buy games (of course), that's well and good, and they're entitled to be demanding of great experiences; not use vulgar language against gaming personalities.
-First, he's PR'd for several gaming companies over the years. Second, Phil Fish specifically stated Beer (or "some **** **** **** etc. that he called him) wasn't to blame for him leaving.

I wonder what percentage of n4g users would get folded into this part of his rant.
"I don't know whether that's true about the PC version but on console it's a mixed bag."
Although I purchased Last Light a long time ago, that's what I'm worried about when I play it. I remember getting crap for stating something similar with Metro 2033 360 version. It has a lot of ambitions but it had so many clunky flaws to the point of it feeling like a beta/alpha (though putting down the extra $3 you HAVE to pay for the Ranger Mode on 360 v...
I certainly enjoyed the written review, but the video was a bit off. It's seems like whatever equipment you were using didn't pick up your voice clearly and the background music was too loud.

$15? I thought the standard price has always been ten bucks. I still agree with that sentiment though, the regular asking price for roughly 40 mins (although the landscape changes with each playthrough) is just above that expense paid/time spent threshold of mine.
It's a shame too because I did enjoy those fantastical moments, the environments, sounds, etc. It really coalesced during key points in the game.
It's only apropos of the CoD: Ghosts hype machine to be occurring in the shadows. Watching and waiting for the right opportunity to show themselves.
:P
Thanks, zero. It's certainly fun to type them up when I get the chance.
Thanks for choosing my blog, Cat and cundecidedpossibly.
(There's a bronze trophy in it for me to keep on using that bad joke [o_o]~)
Congrats to other winners.
Yeah, that's the part that annoys me with his recent ones as well. Just divvy it into two parts, leave some kind of cliffhanger for Pt. 1, and then discuss with others in comments.
I can certainly understand the annoyance of stripping the co-op (probably due to whatever budget they were given). But judging by what I've initially seen, at least there's some form of a trade off from
"...no one gave a flip about characters in LP2."
to having a more subdued, character-driven tone with this prequel.
I'm certainly not a fan of all the moments this "change in direction" phase for a series ha...
I agreed with some of them, but I just hate how dumb the reasoning is behind some of the others.

SPOILER Black Ops Twist:
"Also, the fact that no other characters ever spoke to Reznov besides Mason didn't really help."
You mean like the plethora of split-personality plot twists that inspired this one?
It's not without some moderate gameplay problems, but I certainly enjoyed myself throughout most of it.

Didn't even notice that when I copy/pasted here. lol
In this case, that actually seemed like part of the draw in picking this one up. Rather than striving to out-spectacle LP2, a new dev wanted to break this one down and give some good characterization to the lead protagonist.
Well...not entirely dead, just taken out of rotation for now. Who knows what developer EA will restructure, or perhaps seek out 3rd party, in order to bring it back into rotation.
I expected this when I kept noticing the price dropping down little by little these past weeks on Amazon.
I'm not so sure it sucks.
