My comment towards wanting it to fail were purely from the point of view that it would stop all the fanboy crap. Especially when they made my not buying into the Vita personnel and claimed I was lying about having children. I was originally intending to get one but when it was released in NZ it was going to set me back over $600NZD with only a 16GB memory card! I ended up getting a tablet instead even though I'd had a PSP since 2007.

"Killer App" basically translates to a game being a system seller. Has the Vita seen a sales increase that would suggest that this game is a killer app?
Kinect is great for family oriented games however, if they can reduce the lag and improve the tracking then I'd be keen on seeing QuickTime sections of a game being kinect enabled.
I'm 41 and been gaming since I got my hands on a ZX Spectrum. I don't consider myself too old for gaming it just gaming has become less fun and original over the years. Fanboyism has certainly got worse.

Even Sony refer to GT as a a driving sim and not a racing sim. I thought GT handled great by played average. No qualifying laps, still a game of bumper cars in many respects, still bouncing off plastic tape barriers. Is GT still my most favourite driving game yes but as for a racing game it falls short.

You missed my point. Why should someone buy a Vita if its more than casual gaming they are after. What app support does the Vita have?
Its not just about the games. Its about a device that best fits in with their lifestyle. Just because your focus is games does not mean it is for the masses.
Have you guys considered that these so called "casuals" do more than just play "simplistic stupid" games on their mobile devices? Maybe the Vita itself does not have wide enough appeal for casuals.
No one is disputing the fact the Vita has a solid games library but they just don't have wide enough appeal to attract people to buy a vita at its current price point. The fact that its performing so poorly reflects this. Question is, can Sony turn it around? Why should the mass consumer start to take notice of the Vita?
And they should also be available at a reduced price than buying them on physical media.
