I will look at both offerings and decide on the games. However, "always online" is not a put off for me personally as most of my gaming nowadays seems to be on-line multiplayer. I do wish however MS would change their gold membership. That is, dont block access to apps/services like the browser, Netflix, etc if you're not a gold member. Also, silver members should be able to get a taste of multiplayer. Maybe allow them to try games for up to 1 week after install and restri...
Wow, if 200k is dead then what does that mean for most games on the Vita?
However, 200k is not great but then again MGR was not a system selling game by any stretch.
I was part of the community who was requesting folders for the PSP and eventually Sony responded. I don't think its right to have to re-request basic features each time new h/w is released. Yes its great Sony listened (again) but they should not be patted on the back each time they give us back what we already had.
Oh but then my opinion doesn't matter because although I own multiple PSPs and PS3s I'm still classed a MS fanboy because I've not got a Vita.
Just because you pay for a service does not mean there won't be issues from time to time. Happens with free services also. Remember that little 5-6 week outage Sony had to deal with a couple of years ago?
Folders...really? It took ages for Sony to introduce the much wanted folder support for the PSP. Would have thought any modern O/S would come out with them day 1 nowadays.
3g really only supports turn based multiplayer. 4g improves things but doubtful Sony is throwing too much money at Vita right now and coming out with such a model.
How does a site called News for Gamers end up with so much fanboy crap being approved?
This article is neither news or for gamers.
Just like they bad mouthed Sony as well...now they're bed buddies. So what's your point?
The PS3 O/S runs like a dog though. Especially when you bring it up in game. Nothing masterful about it at all. As for the PSP, they ended up having to remove features to add new ones, again, I don't consider that masterful.
Yeah, MS is the only company that's takes away from you. What utter fanboy dribble. You know, the biggest thing taken away from me this gen was when Sony reduced its activated system count to 2. I had recently purchased a 3rd PS3 then they dropped that bombshell. However, they then proclaimed anyone who needed more than 2 activated systems must be a pirate. MS ain't perfect but that does not by proxy mean that Sony or Nintendo are.
Agreed. Nexus 7 also supports them without needing to root the device. Sony is playing catchup in this regard.
We have not had pure gaming consoles for some time now. Even the PS1 could be used as a CD player. Hybrid devices are now the norm, its just a fact of life. If Sony had integrated its PlayTV into the PS3 Slim then I'm guessing integrated TV and PVR would have been embraced by fanboys.
I don't mind Hicken's comments as I added him to my ignore list a long time ago. Not read anything he's posted in a while now and guess what, I'm guessing I've not missed anything.
I've played it and if it were not for the in-game purchasing it would be the best mobile racer on any platform...until GT Vita comes out at least.
And what constitutes a "real" game then?
Its not just a killer app but its also a lack of basic gaming features like a unified friends list. I would have loved to have seen Android gaming to be the first to introduce unified clans, scores, etc across all its upcoming games.
Certainly no big must have titles however, still some fun to be had in between some bigger games on other consoles. Be interested to see if Ouya gets Dead Trigger, Modern Combat 4, the upcoming Dungeon Hunter 4 and Zen Pinball.
Its an opinion based on rumour. Please explain how this is news.
Another attack on someone....try focussing on the comments and not the individuals, Love it when people PM you with an attacking comment then block you from replying.
That's not always the case and is just your generalisation.
