I thought the campaign was good but the climax was naff. Basically the final boss battle was a QuickTime event, furthermore he was far to easy to defeat.
If the PS4 does not meet sales expectations Sony will undoubtedly start to promote its diversity, just like they did with the "It only does everything" campaign for the PS3.
Diversity means wider appeal.
Does it matter? Honestly, who cares how many have shipped sold as the real money is in the software at this stage.

I have both in my household. Each gets played by my kids but I find they don't actually use them much outside the house when out and about. They go through phases as to which one they prefer using but end of the day they all seem to gravitate back to the consoles, PC and tablets.

I want one for the emulation plus its also a great DLNA, wifi media player with HDMI. Sure you can DLNA on your PS3/360 but not without having to convert most media to make it work. This thing will turn any TV into a smart TV and probably do it better than what Sony and Samsung currently provide.

Honestly, neither company is better than the other. I didn't see Sony apologise or say thanks to all the Go owners for their support. Nor did I get an apology for being called a "pirate" because I used 3 active accounts, I.e. one for each PS3 in my household.
Kinect 2 could really enhance the gaming experience to augment the use of a controller. For instance, when sniping what if kinect 2 could detect you having to hold your breath to steady aim. For quicktime game sequences that actually require a body movement versus pushing x, up, etc when the indicator appears.
There are opportunities to be had and its not just up to MS to push the tech and innovate but for all developers.
