Konami is not making a comeback. Don't speak so prematurely about them yet. Let's PLAY some high quality games from them FIRST BEFORE we offer them any praise.
As for MGS remasters and ports are fine. But a new game would end up as a disaster and PR nightmare. A new MGS after the horrible breakup with Kojima would be insurmountable in the public's opinion.
Even if it were a good game (unlikely), people would just reject it and it'd flop ha...
People praise Nintendo sales numbers and quality first party games all the time on this site. Many people here don't even care for console gaming and are PC only gamers, praising their latest GPU purchases. Your selective memory isn't helping your case here.
Nope, Konami is still trash. They don't respect their employees, nor their IPs. They release garbage like Metal Gear Survive (which I admittedly played a lot of), the newest Contra game was pathetic as well.
A game company is nothing without TALENT! Over the past 15 years Konami's talented developers left the company. Now they have nothing left but their IPs, old source code for awesome classic games, and a ton of money from Pachislot. Meaning they are still worthle...
It's not just shutting down the online stores. It's the fact that you can't perform local back ups of your own save files that infuriated me. Something that has been available for decades. I hate those anti-consumer practices, and that's a large reason why I went full piracy on the Switch.
With homebrew I can back up and restore my save files as I should be able to without having to pay a fee. They do these BS practices to prevent piracy but all it does it p...
Shuhei was Excutive Producer on one of my favorite series, Ape Escape! I remember back in the early PS2 days Sony promoted him to being in charge of first party games, and I didn't know who he was at the time. After he got the job, Sony first party quality games greatly improved, especially their western output. He has played a critical role in improving the PlayStation brand and games. A well-earned award! Here's the list of his game credits.

Those have been my thoughts for years now. The Xbox brand started strong, I was a big fan of Xbox, bought it day one in 2001 with no regrets. Lots of good times, MS first party didn't always hit, but sometimes it did, and it was a worthwhile experience. To make things even sweeter was that they made deals with companies like SEGA for exclusive niche games that appealed to me. Panzer Dragoon Orta, Jet Set Radio Future, Gunvalkryie, Spikeout: Battlestreet, a...
Unfortunately, it was a joke, and it's not happening. More sites spreading misinformation without verification.

At this point, large third parties studios like Ubisoft, EA, Activision, Take-Two, etc are the companies I avoid the most. I hate the direction they have taken the industry in, and their games are no longer interesting to me. Touting that you'll have these big companies makes me not want to watch.
He can't. Calling developers lazy is one of the the most ignorant things you can do. Especially since the past 5 years has shined a light on the constant developer crunch that they go through just to get a broken game out the door for launch.
Devs work themselves non-stop, but hey, lets call them lazy, just because. 🥴
So I went to look this up, and no, that's misinformation. Its just the steelbook cases of the game, pre-order bonuses, not the actual game itself. It makes no sense to dump the game disc, when you could discount it instead and still make a profit.
Good game, was available on PS+, that's how I played it. The main issue were the crappy shoehorned QTEs. They had no place, served no purpose and actively made some parts of the game worse.
Hope we're done with crappy QTEs forever.
There is a difference between low entry price and "best value in gaming." The Series S on sale is a low entry price, however it is not a good value because it can't play my Original Xbox and Xbox 360 game discs. Having to re-buy Splinter Cell games, Panzer Dragoon Orta, Sonic Generations, Ninja Gaiden II, and many others even though I legally own them just to get the visual upgrades is a load of crap.
And since backwards compatibility is the main reason I'...
Wow, reading the psychotic crying bitch-babies replies in that Twitter thread. It shows just how far the human race has sunk. They don't even realize what worthless trash they have willingly chosen to become. What a shame.
You don't understand business. Not one bit.
Always a day one patch instead of fixing prior to release. 🤨
Was hoping for a price drop, instead got a price increase. Even though I'm a fan of quirky gaming devices, I can't justify a $180 (soon $200) price tag for one.
Exactly what I was thinking, or even the Wii U engine would work too.
Publishers that do things like this won't be getting my money going forward, that's for sure.
I don't need their GAAS, and clearly they don't want me as a customer anymore. More money in my pocket, awesome.
Someone needs to edit the subject line, this deal is for Australia only, not currently available for North America.
The price was originally $40 for the physical PS4 and XBO versions, but due to controversy it dropped down to $30 before launch. And as much as I love GZ, and even bought it twice, I do agree that $30 was too much. It should have launched at $20.
