I actually played through Watch_Dogs for the first time recently and it's still fresh in my mind. The game was packed with repetitive filler and bloat. Also trophy glitches.
It would have benefited from being a leaner game, and having main missions not feel like side missions with voice overs before and after.
It's that 'Ubisoft effect'.
Two things we can do are:
1) Smaller game worlds, which have been ballooning out of control since last generation. When I was a child I wanted the biggest game worlds possible! Now as an adult, I realize that quality is more important than quantity. Smaller and more interesting and memorable game worlds is what the industry should be focusing on.
When playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey, I was exhausted just looking at the map. It's the only game in ...
Yeah, they could bring it back, and replace the Apes with Halo grunts for the Xbox and Windows versions, but this is a low budget, corner-cut graphical remake, so of course they won't put the thought, budget, or effort into making it a masterpiece.
The biggest omission would be the lack of online play, prove me wrong Konami, do a good job here, and add that mode back in.
No, I stopped supporting Ubisoft when they started making grindy filler games. I'm sick of random loot, micro-trash-actions, pre-order DLC, over priced collectors editions, resource gathering, pointless go-nowhere plots, experience points accumulation, skill tree filling, generic open world, slog fest, boredom Ubi-trash.
So no, they're still dead to me.
I was going to make the same post, except for the OG XBOX I was going to mention the original terrible DUKE controller, which made playing every game worse than using a DualShock 2.
He's wrong, if the game is excellent it will CREATE a new audience for 3D platformers. So make it masterful, and watch the results.
The irony is that it's actually the worst value in gaming. It had the smallest and least praised exclusive library of games, and it's plays those games worse than it's big brother.
Switch hardware is weaker of course, but the game library is vastly superior. PS5 hardware is stronger of course and the game library is vastly superior.
Series S should have gotten a permanent price drop instead of price increase with the 1TB. Spencer is embarrassi...
As expected, garbage list.
For those missing the older style games, look into fan hacks and mods, as well as randomizers for some of the games, which will give you something 'new' to play while Nintendo is focused on "open air" Zelda games going forward.
If Kotick tried that, he'd be fired within days, the board wouldn't allow such a stupid business decision to take place.
S-E had Balan rushed hard though, it clearly needed more time, and the executives didn't care. If it had reached it's full potential it certainly would have been a better game. How good? We'll never know.
Let's not put down developers who were crunching hard (and didn't want to even release the game) just to get something out the door.
No they can't, because they don't care about gaming, or the people who play them. They're only good at hiring some third-rate writer to create teleprompter dialog for the 'nice guys' executives to read for their showcase in order to pretend like they care. But of course reality is very different, wanting to spend Sony out of business is bad for everyone, but MS cares about no one, not even their own fan base as evident by the release of such low quality titles as Crackdown...
10 years ago I remember idiots supporting the Xbox One DRM plan. I, however, decided to stop supporting Microsoft all together at that point. And until they showed me that they had learned their lesson, and starting behaving themselves, I was never going to support them again.
Well 10 years have passed, and yep, MS still doesn't get my money, and after all this, I doubt they ever will. MS has done the exact opposite approach they should have over the past 10 years, its ...
Never been a fan of Western RPGs, I've tried to get into them, I usually lose interest really quickly. Xbox RPGs just aren't for me. I actually prefer more classic linear RPGs as opposed to open ended "go anywhere" RPGs which have less structure, lots of aimless walking around and constantly collecting loot, then having to deal with weight burden. Not for me.
MGS 1 is one of my favorite games ever, and age hasn't slowed it down one bit. I still play it, and have no issues with the visuals or controls. Twin Snakes on the other hand, I've attempted to beat it four separate times and could never enjoy it enough to even make it half way through the mission.
I don't like the controls (even worse that they can't be customized in the options menu).
I don't like the music.
I don't like the dialo...
"Baggillion?" Never heard that term before! That was hilarious, thanks for the laugh. And its so true, MS has tried so many shady or shitty business tactics to improve their standings, and none of it is working. All because they keep ignoring the most important ingredient: MAKE GOOD GAMES!
The low-tier troll never had any credibility to begin with, though.
Stop worrying about Ubisoft games, and instead start ignoring them.
The game is still online via fan servers, I think its even playable on PC these days. You can play MGO 2 right now if you wanted to, nothing is stopping you from doing so.
Mega Man Legends 1 and 2 remakes with Legends 3 all included as one massive game. LET'S GO! MAKE IT HAPPEN, CAPCOM!
